I can tell you that it is on the comparison matrix for Jan. '06, but no specs or pricing info is given. Also it does NOT appear on the rebate form through Feb. 11th, though I wouldn't bet on it having a rebate right out of the gate. Considering that the L7 is the only phone on the comparison matrix for which there are no listed specs I would surmise that it will not be released during January.
I've heard rumors from higher up that it may have iTunes capability, if that's the case you may see a price reduction on the ROKR followed shortly by the L7 replacing it in Cingular's lineup. (Much like the w600i replaced the s710a.) I can't honestly see the ROKR surviving in the same lineup with an iTunes equipped L7 or RAZR, after all, it bare...

i bet it will be $249 with a 2 year. i think that was hte price when the rokr came out. would make sense to lower the rokr and make this the new itunes phone. however i hope they enable ptt on this.

I wouldn't count on PTT being enabled just yet. I imagine they'll see how it does once they start actually marketing it, THEN release more PTT phones if it's as big of a hit as they hope.
Of course if this isn't going to be out til, say, Feb. and they market PTT properly then it may well be a feature that we see. As it is, PTT isn't gonna fly until they offer a more affordable phone (i.e. something less than $100) for the masses to use it with.

I have a feeling that PTT will be enabled on this phone for Cingular. Cingular already launched its PTT service on a LG and Samsung phone. They are currently charging an additional $10 a month for unlimited PTT use. Compared to Nextel, this seems kind of pricey. 😕
