Motorola SLVR L7

hey i just wanted to let you know that Radio shack now has the SLVR in our system and its $50 less than what cingular sells it for 🙂 it should be in stores in 2-3 weeks max

Yes.........NO lie....just purchased at wal-mart for 128.43 w/ tax it is like $137. I just upgraded my contract for one little year to get that price....if I woulf of done a 2 yr it would even be cheaper.......im just excited b/c cingular is pricing this phone at $199.99 on a new 2 year agreement!!! I got a steal buddy!!! Walmart also has the black and grey razr for only $98 if you upgrade for one year.....crazy cheap!!! Go wally world!

Ok...I love the phone's look and everything. One complaint..........the absolute WORST speakerphone I ever had in my life!!! Ok...I don't get it...when I play Itunes, ringtones, and even when I call 611 and get the automated message or someones voicemail....it is great sound....when Im actually talking to another person on the line it is the crappiest thing...people can barley here me and I can barlery here them...yes i have a strong signal and yes I have the speakerphone volume all the way up...it's just a crappy speakerphone. Unfortunately...I am a HUGE speakerphone person, I use it all the time, very valuable to me. Any advice. Anyone else think the speakerphone sucks??

I just got this phone today, and I must say, I love it. However, I have a question that I couldn't really find the answer to in the manual. Is there anyway to change the soft keys? I don't mind the iTunes so much, but having the MEdia Net one really pisses me off. (It's direct from Cingular.) What about the four shortcuts in the directional pad? For some reason I thought that all those buttons could be customized on the RAZR, hopefully they can on the SLVR too? Thanks.

I love this phone but when I am in daylight the keypad occassionally wont light up. If i go in my room and turn off the light then keypad turns on, and likeweise if I turn the light on the keypad goes out. this seems cool but i dont really like it does anyone know how to fix this problem?? or is it just my phone? thanks for the help

When I connect my bluetooth headset I guess the profile is changed and my custom ringtones are replaced with a standard one. Can I alter the headset profile's attributes?

IT cannot be this much hassle can it?

I plug in the phone. It shows up after about a minute.

I drag a playlist to it holding 19 songs.

It works really hard to get the song onto the phone afer about a minute. then I get a red error message

Attempting to copy to the disk "name phone" failed. The disc could not be read from or written to.

After I about 20 attempts it has transferred 3 songs so far. 2 hours later.

Any thoughts? should it not just load them all like on my shuffle.

While it does say on the info page that the phone has PTT it says type: PoC, while the samsung D357 says Type: Kodiak RTX. None of the promo stuff I've gotten in my store say anything about PTT, are we sure its gonna have cingular supported PTT?

this is the first Motorola I've had. In my S710 you could have multiple numbers for one entry. Any way to do that with the Motorola UI? Thanks

I have "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Robin Hood" on my Nokia 6230, but don't play them much since I have to start from the beginning and watch every moment each time.

Does the SLVR at least allow fast-forward?...

Correct me if I'm wrong but am I reading right that this phone only plays music purchased thru iTunes? It will not play MP3's loaded onto the memory card?

Someone said the ROKR E1 plays MP3's if you dont load thru iTunes into the phone, I'v enot confirmed it, but has anyoen tried to play regular mp3's on this and found it to work, if they don't use iTunes to load up via USB?

can i trade in the rokr for this phone???

Just curious, what color is the Cingular version keypad? The UK version is bronze and no silver trim along the sides. 😳

I'm not sure if I'm the only person who has this problem, but when I use the camera on my SLVR and I snap the picture, I then click on STORE image but the image that gets stored is not the image I snapped on the camera. It seems like the image that gets stored is where the camera lens is aimed when i click on STORE. I find this rather odd and EXTREMELY annoying. Anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong or how to solve this problem?

Hello everyone. I have been a proud owner of the Black RZR since last summer but now they are just way to popular here so I want to switch over to the SLVR just for a while. Are there any disadvantages of the SLVR? My main reason for switching is wanting something new and also the MP3 player.

Also I am with T-Mobile and am not sure how the i-tunes works. Can I just transfer music already on my computer to the SLVR or do I have to have crappy Cingular to fully utilize I-Tunes?

When will this beautiful phone be released for T-Mobile? I've been waiting for it for about 4 months now.

i dl the opera mini browser and saved it to my card. now i can't find it! where can you access your card's contents?

Just got my SLVR and love it! but have a few questions
1) any work around to increase the amount of songs more than 100?

2) what is a good alternative to itunes?

3) will the phone take a bigger card and if so where is the best place to purchase it

i brought this mobile in india and i dont have anything related to ipod\itunes in the mobile, there is only a normap music player.. in the cd too there is no software bundled for that

is it limitied to US?

is there any way i can install that?

Ok, this is probably going to sound really stupid but I have a question regarding custom ringers on my new SLVR L7.
Whenever I give someone, my girlfriend per say, her own ringer on my phone, and I turn Ringer IDs on in the audio settings, it plays her custom ringer whenever she calls me AND when she text messages me.
Is there any way I can get it to just play when she calls me and play the standard text messaging ring when she texts me.
Haha i know this is stupid, but it's really annoying to hear the ring and think she's calling and it turn out to be a text message. Does anyone else's do that... are the RAZR's like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
