Motorola RAZR V3c

I just dialed *611 and talked to a Verizon customer service rep. I asked her about the Razr and if it is available for purchase through customer service (because it has been rumored to be available in other posts). She said it is not available yet. I also asked her if she knew when it would be available for purchase, either online or in stores, and she said she did not (a total lie, if you ask me). BUT, she kindly directed me to the vz website where I could register to be emailed when it launches. I didnt want to tell her I already did that three times!! 😉

Anyhow... Maybe others are luckier than I, but I guess I will just have to wait for the online or store launch.

I posted a similar statement a week ago but some loser responded with cuss words so the moderator deleted the entire thread. What baffles me is that people would pay $59.99 through Verizon for 900 anytime minutes plus call-me plus nights and weekends when USCC offers 1,000 anytime plus call-me plus nights and weekends for $39.99. Twenty dollars less !!! Yes, I realize that for some areas VZW is the only choice. That's fine. But if you do have a choice, why on earth would you choose Verizon?? Especially in view of the fact that they disable most of the features on their phones.

when does verizon update their website. 12 midnight or some time in the night.

I called my local VZW store a little while ago, and the rep that answered the phone said the RAZR will be in store on the 12th.

I know this is old news, but I'm just happy that the reps at the stores are finally able to confirm this now.

On a side note, *611 told me that it wasn't coming out until January!! 😳

My buddy from Moto just dropped off 2 Razr's for me..

I just activated mine and it's very nice so far.

The speakerphone is one of the best we have heard to date and the voice quality which is my biggest issue with all phones is stunningly good..

My partner is on the phone with me now and he is saying that is sounds as good or better than my A670.

I will do alot of testing today and post more later..

It does support multiple letter lookup on the names which is super important to me as I have over 500 names in my phonebook. Moto normally only allows for 1 letter, but with the new VZW UI , it supports as many as you wish..

Wut exactly is 611. Ive never called it and i dont know what it is used for. Would i be able to call up and ask about the H3 bluetooth headset? Im anxiously awaiting this product also.

If I get a Razr V3c from another carrier than Verizon, is it possible to activate it on VZW? If so, would the user interface or the Bluetooth capability (OBEX) change?

I'm eager to get the phone, but I'm going to wait at least until the 20th of Dec. I want to hear what problems if any you guys will have. I had my fill of taking back bad (brand new) phones. And don't fake. I want to know all the bad stuff, like if the phone vibrates while your using it or if it burps in the middle of the night, lol.

This happens everytime when a "hot" new phone comes out. Everyone says that they have it first and never tell you the number where they ordered it from as there is no number to report. All you have to do is call up verizon sales and they will tell you that they do not have the phone for sale yet. They will sell the phone online first (in the next few days) and next week they will have it available for purchase by phone. Also, be careful, if you are upgrading your phone (like I will) it is best to upgrade very close to your billing date as if you do it too early it will end up costing you money when they pro rate you at the end of your cycle. I will wait to upgrade when the stores get it, as I want to transfer my contacts at the same time...

Watching NBC local news last night. They said for the 3rd year in a row Consumer Reports (I think it was them) named the best cell service in NY NJ CT metropolitan area. Why is it that some insist on coming here to trash VZW? We know they cripple BT. We know they are slow getting equipment to the market. We know they have some lousy policies designed to force us to spend money for things we shouldn't have to, but you know what I care about most? When I make a call it goes through, that coverage is the best, the most widsread and that it is reliable. Of course there are problems. Show me a service that doesn't have them.

I wish the people that come into the VZW sections of the forums just to tell us how stupid we are to have VZW service w...

I recently purchased the razrV3c from Alltel & am trying to backup my contacts with isync. Alltel does not offer at this time any solution ,from what little info I get here locally or via their web site or even motorola for that matter. Moto doesn't even list Alltel as a vendor.

Apple claims to support this phone with their isync program provided you are running OSX.4.3 & isync 2.1 . I have posted on isync support page my situation , without success.

My computer see's the phone via bluetooth just fine . I can use it as a modem but ,thats all. Data backup options are not available.

I left Verizon with a bad taste due to the V710.... B.S. !! I'm begining to wunder if I haven't been duped by another cell phone service with yet anot...

How significant is the difference in data transfer speed between EVDO and EDGE? I have seen it stated numerically, is this enough of a difference to notice loading small amounts of info?

Ok. For those of you who think you will get this phone on the 8th..

Internet Orders take 2 to 5 business days to process and 2 day shipping, so your looking at a week. I am currently at work (at a cal center) and have confirmed that info with Online Orders.

For those of you who would like to verify that since there are forver rumors on here, feel free to call Online Orders at 1 800 711 7773 and it is prompt 3.

I want this phone just as bad as eceryone else, but your best bet is to wait till they hit the stores. If you try and order on the 7th you might not get it till the 16th...

I've never liked Bluetooth headsets. The sound quality just isn't as good as corded headsets.

After internet searching, I only saw a few cheap earbud models that are corded and work with the RAZR. No Jabra or Plantronics. Is that correct? Are there any adapters that would make a 2.5 work in the RAZR?

you will have to pay $9999.99 for the phone if you buy the phone or have a friend/hook-up try and get it for you early! 🤣

Jumped in before I left the center today just to see what the latest is, the phone SKU is finally unlocked with plenty V3c's as available as well as all the accessories. But if your friend/hook-up is a not AD or RD don't count on getting one early b/c no other credit limit profile will allow a discount to where the phone would even be close to an affordable amount! Pretty slick one to prevent early buys or leaks 😢

So I guess the real countdown is finally on for you guys, enjoy!

So it looks like best buy will have them in the next few days.. Who else might be getting them early that will sell them early..
