Motorola RAZR V3c

With advise from the local Verizon store rep my Razr can now:
1. vibrate then ring.
2. transfer photo and ringtone using MPT with the USB cable. The original firmware was 03 upgraded to 04.
3. extend the display backlight up to 60 seconds.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to download ringtones and pictures directly to my RAZR with a USB cable. When I plug it in my computer wll not reconize because I don't have software for the phone installed on the PC. Is there some software out there that will allow me to do this or am I just missing something?

I will not use Bluetooth because I have not found one that I like. I own 6 very good headsets from my previous phone and want to use them with my RAZR.
I went to e-bay and bought 2 adapters from some site there. They were awful. Distorted sound, over modulated and there was nothing you could do to control the distortion level.

So my question is this: Is there a reputable source that sells adapters for the razr that actually work? I will sell the phone and buy an LG with a regular headset jack if I can't find one.

I even bought the crappy wired headset that Motorola makes for the RAZR and people complain they can't hear me because the thing hangs down by my neck and if you turn your head while driving - your voice becomes unintell...

Can I charge my Razr every night whether it is completely run down or not? Will this harm the phone, battery or battery life?

Im trying to send myself a ringtone TO my phone via an email. The email gets to my phone but the attachment is dropped.
the mp3 is 44.1k and 96kbps.

Is this possible to do so and download and install as a ringtone?

I upgraded my second phone with the new 04 software and it messed up my bluetooth. It was supposed to fix the BT problem. They gave me another phone with the 03 software and I now can't do an OTA. Will VZW replace my phone with other than razr? Anyone knows?

is there a way to get the screen on the outside of the phone to always display the time. it goes into 'hibernation mode' or whatever u want to call it about 10 seconds after closing the phone.

I have a Verizon V3c which I got with their buy one get one free promotion a couple of months ago in Winston-Salem, NC. With my 100.00 credit due, I ended up getting two of them for just the sales tax of about 3.50.

The phone is just OK. I would never get it again. I cannot stand the stupid side buttons which change the volume of the ringer, and even turns off the ringer if you accidentally touch them the wrong way. You have to handle the damn phone as if it has real razor blades sticking out along the edges.....so you don't accidentally touch one of them when opening it.

Is there any way to set the phone to vibrate, and it not change unless you go through the menu to change it??????? I know you can go go, "clear + star" and it w...

sometimes after i record something and save it, it wont show up on the list of videos. or sometimes after i record something, save it, then try to watch it, it wont play; only the first second, and the rest just with audio. or sometimes when i want to record it'll say UNABLE TO RECORD! it cant be the memory because i only have 9 pics, and no videos...

taking out the battery usually fixes it though.

anyone else experience this?

does anyone who has any phone and an H500 get a beep like every 5 seconds, regardless if they are on the phone or not, even with the headset being fully charged?

i know the buttons can be silenced by keeping the phone on vibrate, but is there a way to silence the button tone without keeping it on vibrate only???

anyone know if/when a new upgrade is coming that will fix the external screen?? the red, organge, and brown is really bugging me. also if it will enable the screensaver?

I have noticed on the phone that if you set up a ringer ID for someone in your contact list that same ring tone will alert you to a text message that was sent by that contact. Is there anyway to default the message alert back to a simple beep or chime instead of having the ringtone go off for every message? It gets old hearing the ringtone for every correspondence that I receive from a contact.

The screen on the VZW Razor is impossible to see when out in the sun, my last Motorola was easy to see.

Any ideas how to fix it? Verizon nor Motorola say it can be changed.

Is there any key or shortcut set up to connect my bluetooth headset to the phone rather than have to go through the whole menu>tools>connection, etc process? It is a pain to have to do that when I want to connect/discconnect bluetooth. Thanks!

Hey everyone, quick question. Does the bluetooth earpieces really drain your batteries that fast. I just got my Razr about 3 weeks ago and it was fine, but I noticed once I got the Plantronics 510 headset my battery dropped very fast. I had the phone on full charge and after about 45-60 min of talking the battery was completely dead. But I have a friend that has the same phone with the Jabra 250 headset and he said he can talk for about 3 to 4 hours before his phone is dead.

VZW gave me a new battery, and they said that the bluetooth does drain the battery but I dont think it should drain it like that. Should it? Or does it matter which bluetooth headset I get??

I have downloaded wallpaper to my new phone, which shows up on the inner screen with no problems. The question I have is, shouldn't the picture be displayed on the external screen, when the phone is closed?

Dh has a silver razr V3c, and any wallpaper that he uses, shows up on both the inner and external screens. I just got the pink razr V3c, and all I have on the external screen is the date and time, with the red background. As I mentioned, the wallpaper is fine on the internal screen, but a "no show" externally.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? It's not a major catastrophe, but If I can't solve it myself, then I guess I will be visiting a Verizon store this weekend. ☹️
