Palm Treo 700w / 700wx

Just to let you folks interested in the 700W know, Palm DOES have a Treo 700W demo program. I got one for our company for FREE for 30 days, in that time we had 3 people here try it out, then we just sent it back...As for data, the unlimited data plan for these users for roughly a week was around $10 prorated by Verizon, so it wasn't a rediculous cost at all to utilize unlimited data to try it out with this demo 700W.

I don't want to be rude and go posting the email and phone number of the guy that I spoke with at Palm that got this for us, so to get it yourself just call palm and tell them you heard about a demo program for businesses, they'll get you in touch with the right folks.

The Treo 700 worked great for the last 1 month. Suddenly! It has problems with activesync. On the PC it gives an error with no code.On the treo activesync continues to sync even when disconnected ! After about 15 minutes it gives an error message. This has happened on my laptop and desktop.
Reinstalled Outlook and activesync ---still not working.

I'm looking into getting a 700w for work. We are running 64 bit pc's with Windows XP 64 on them. The one thing I can't get answered from verizon, or palm, or microsoft, is if this new treo will work!

Anyone out there running the same sort of set up? Will a 64 bit computer recognize it? Will I be able to sync my calendar and such?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've been having a couple issues I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced. The first is when I'm on the phone talking to someone and then someone else calls me. Like if I'm talking to "Mom" and I get a call waiting beep, it tells me that "Mom" is calling when that's the person I'm already talking to.

The second issue is just with making calls in general. Say I want to call one of my picture ID's. At times I have to hit the picture 2 or 3 times before it will actually dial. It may beep like it's going but then not go so I'll have to hit it again. Sometimes it'll even come up and say calling and then just disappear and I have to start over. I'm usually only calling speed dials but I think it does this even if it's just a number I...

Anyone have a 700w that they are not happy with, or is not what they expected, and want to sell? I know they are pricey, but the price has to be at least reasonable and the unit has got to be in good to great shape. Just thought I would ask 😉

I am getting ready to retire my "dinosaur" 7135 that I have had for 3 years. I am considering the switch to the 700W. I know that this may be a basic question, but how easy will it be to convert the address and calendar information from my 7135 to the 700W?

I have been using the Treo 700W verizon smartphone for a couple of weeks and really enjoy it. I do not know (and cannot find) information that will allow me to use my Jabra BT350 Bluetooth headset with the Treo 700w's Voice command function. It worked with my V710 phone.

Any suggestions as to how to get this to work (or is it not compatible) would be greatly appreciated.

Does the 700w have an emergency call button when the phone is locked?

Recieved my Treo 700 about 3 weeks ago, use it for business and e-mailing mostly. I entered all my appointments and times that I would be meeting with people at a trade show in vegas (Sia Snow Show) any how I live in Detroit so when I got to vegas all my times in my calendar were set back 3 hours... For instant my 9:00 appointment was reset to 6:00. This happen to every single appointment. I called Palm and they could not help me. Anyone else had this problem traveling accross time zones?

I even tried to change the clock to Visting Setting with the right time zone.. Still the same...

I returned home and poof magic all my times came back to the right time.

Will Sprint PCS ever come out with Treo 750W? It seems that Sprint PCS has been laging behind in phone technology compared to Verizon and Cingular. I wish they do something about this or it is time for me to switch services.

How does 2GB SanDisk Ultra II SD card sound?
And would 700w be able to utilize a 4GB (150x) SD card?

I received my Treo 700W on Wednesday January 18, 2006. Since then, I've had to replaced my phone four (4) times all for the same reasons-after the phone has set for a while the wake up button will not work. 😢

Has anyone paired it to an Acura TL and does the Handsfreelink work??

I was looking over the specs on this website and it says that this phone does not have EMS/Picture Messaging capabilities. Is that true? Can my wife and I not send pics back and forth if I get this phone?

I was thinking of exchanging my 9800 within my 15 day worry free guarantee for the Treo 700w, but, if the treo won't do PIX messages, it is a total deal breaker. I have until Sunday to make the exchange. Please let me know soon if it has Pix Messaging capabilities or not.

I was just wondering if anyone knows when the Cingular version is going to be released? I currently own the 650 and cannot wait to upgrade.

Does anyone know when/if Palm is making a GSM version of the phone for Cingular? I have a tough time with Verizon network in teh northeast whereas Cingular has no problems.

Please advise, I love what is being said about hte phone and want to enjoy it myself!

hello...i am writing i love the 700 and the many features of it. i have been hearing alot about treo have the capablity to get email like the crackberry and its always on email...i am pleased with the wirelesssync set up but was wondering if they are going to fix it so it will not send caller to viocemail if it is pulling my email...any input would be great...

We have nine of these Treo 700w phones and I have a problem with Flight Mode. A couple of the phones seem to randomly turn Flight Mode on for no apparent reason. Does anyone have any insight on this?
