ok, i can get the stereo bluetooth working with songs i put on the memory card, but they wont work with the radio?? does anyone know how to make this work, or if it even does work??

so yeah somoene stepped on my phone broke in half.. are they easy to fix orr does cingular even repair them?

I've used one for my palm pilot,and it worked great. Hope this woeks as well for the CU500. Want to use to watch movies on the plane, but I was woried about battery life.

can i sync my tasks/contacts/calendar on othe LGcu500 to outlook, or outlook express?

Got the phone... Pretty much love it, but there are a few kinks im wondering about?

1) Anyway to get the alarm to go off when the phone is on silent, or off (my old nokia would do it)

2) Anyway to turn off that annoying check-mark sound that goes on everytime i choose an option (without just turning the ringer to vibrate or silent)

3) Got a memory card, but when i put it in it says "card not ready" when i try to check the memory on it.

4)how do i copy files/pics/movies/songs etc. from my phone to my memory card and vice versa?

has anyone noticed that when you click the side button to check the time (on the outside screen) it first shows the last time you checked for a split second, then updates to the new time? Same thing with the inside screen when opening the flip?

for example, i close my phone at 1:11pm, and dont click the side button again until 1:35pm. For a split second, it shows 1:11pm, and then 1:35pm is the updated time....anyone notice that?

Does the LG CU500 have an email client of any type?

The SE S710a I plan to replace allows personalized POP email account set up. It works as seamless as a text message and does not require accessing MediaNet.

I could not locate such a menu feature when handling the phone briefly in a Cingular store.

If anyone has used the LG CU500 with BMW hands-free bluetooth, I would appreciate report on how well it works:
Specifically, does it connect and disconnect calls properly, and does the phonebook synch properly?

I want to free up the phone's memory... I wan to delete useless stuff like games, cingular video, etc.

This is because I'm experiencing "out of memory" errors while browsing. My "common" memory shows 7344 KB used, 7858 free, almost 1MB used up by "Java". I'd like to reclaim if possible.

I just checked my account online and there are many Internet/MEdia Net data charges for 1-5 kbs. I do not use the internet. I only use the phone for calls. What could be causing the data charges?

Could this happen every time I accidently hit the "internet" button on the phone?

Is there a way to simply turn off the internet until I actually need it?

Once you log in to messenger using the right side key, is there a way to leave the "sign on" id blank instead of having the id used the first time as the default name?

Instead of showing my id, I would like it to be blank.

It has been a while since I posted anything, but I'm thinking of upgrading one of my lines to the LG CU500, but I'm just outside the current 3G coverage area in the SF Bay Area. According to the coverage map, I'm only 15-20 minutes away from 3G, but I do have Edge available and of course GPRS.

My question is, will I have any problems using this phone (voice calling and medianet) in the Edge enabled network? Cingular Video and MobiTV aren't big factors for me right now and I don't mind having the phone now and using these extra services after my area is integrated. Basically, I'd like to hear from LG CU500 owners in an Edge/non-3G covered area.

I can transfer video files via usb cable to my Windows PC. The Windows Media Player is unable to play them. It says it doesn't recognize the .3GP extension. What to do?

I bought this phone as a media device, granted it's great if you want to sink more money into say bluetooth headphones that actually fit into the headphone jack hole (since its not 1/8" stereo) but my BIGGEST GRIPE is the fact that I have 2139847239847293482379284 mp3s and I can't use a single one as a ringtone. Is there a 30 second rule or anything? Note, there is NO information about this in the manual or on cingular's website.

Anyone know a way around this?

i tried to set an mp3 as my ringtones and the error prompt "non acceptable content" shows up each and every time. the file is only about 20 seconds long and i'm able to play it as an mp3 so what's wrong with it? how do i fix it???

I have a 1G Micro SD, and the music bundle from cingular and I downloaded about 100 songs from itunes to my phone using the sd card directly in my card reader on my cpu and also the usb cable. Both ways worked and all the songs are in my phone and i can listen to them but they are stored under memory card and not under music player so I can't listen to them with the phone closed or with my headphones. How do I get the songs to music player? Please Help!

I've been able to transfer ringtones, photographs, and music to the microSD card for use on my CU500.

What else can I do with the card? Is there a way to transfer photo's taken on the phone to the card so that I can retrieve the photo's without emailing them to myself?

I know there's no syncing SW yet but is there a way of transferring contacts? If I could pull them off the phone, their format could be reverse engineered and used to get new contacts down to the phone.

I wanted to make clear to you all of the flowing things.

1. The website should be able to indentify your phone as long as your sim cards in it that phone when you type your number in

2. I'm not sure the variables but if your lucky the upgrade should be available for your phone out right. Sadly I know some people logged in and it said that its not avaliable for your phone, I'm not sure what causes this

3. Let this be a warning you only have ONE chance to download this upgrade. If you miss the sent message or the say no to it or the upgrade fails after about 10% or so then the website will not allow you to up...
