Nokia gets thin right

First thing I thought when I opened the box was wow. This phone is beautiful, very elegant and classy looking. Next thing is how tiny this guy is, but in a good way and yet feels very solid and sturdy. Holding it you can feel the quality.

It is the perfect thinness. Slips into any pocket and the rounded edges of the device make it a joy to hold.

The screen is amazing as well, a nice big 2" 16 million color display that is very bright and vibrant, the pre-loaded snake, suduko, golf, and casino game look stellar. Also the key pad is nice, looks a little on the small side at first but takes no time to get the feel for it.

Series 40 5th edition interface is very snappy and makes the phone a pleasure and a breeze to use. Call quality and reception are both typical of nokia, which means excellent. I have no issues with battery life since I am a light user really only using the phone for texting, calling, and some music playback.

It does have a 2mp camera on it but don't expect much out of it, unless you have ideal condition don't expect to have amazing pictures, but it is not the phones selling point. I like the lack of buttons on the side of the phone, not only for a clean look but also nothing to get pressed accidentily.

Only minor issue keeping me from giving this phone 5 stars is that it is a finger print magnet. No expandable memory is a moot point for me since 1gb is plenty and if you are loading it with that many pictures and music you are better off getting some type of ipod like device. Basically if you are looking for a beautiful, solid phone, without a ton of extra features look no further this is it.

Pros:
Reception
Call clarity
Good Speaker phone
Music player
Beautiful design
Solid feel
Bluetooth
2" 16 million color display

Cons:
Finger print magnet
No expandable memory

Great phone... just like all Nokias.

Very loud speakers, and sleek design to show off with lol

The buttons feel a bit weird.. but you'll get used to it.

Other than that... its 100% perrrfect.

Nokia Excellence (as Usual)

After spending a large chunk of change on the Nokia 6500c i was pleased that it ended up being worth the money. The phone overall is beautiful with classic nokia styling, overall clean elegant look. I knew that the phone was thin, but its REALLY thin. and heavy! the phone feels solid when held. Nokia's s40 OS is very fast (about 10X my previous MOTO Z3). One thing that i found unfortunate is that i ended up leaving the 3g off because it drained the battery in what seemed like minutes... yea. However, its not all that bad, because in my bench mark tests i averaged only about a 150kbps difference. with peak rates at 200+ on Cingu...AT&T's EDGE. One stange issue is with the built in browser, it's slow - when loading pages, it often hangs on the 62%. Opera seemed to operate faster than the Nokias. Reception: To be honest i've never had major reception issues with any phone i have ever owned (except LG, they are garbage)

Pros:
Reception
Design
Heavy - in a good way
Good Screen
Fast OS (viewing pics fast, too!)
Fast EDGE
Music player organizes similar to ipod

Cons:
3G Battery life is stupid, less than 3 hours!

Buttons kinda plasticy and uneven which makes it kinda difficult to text

Camera only good in good light

1GB of memory with no expansion option.

Earpeice and loudspeaker on the quieter side, i really don't know how to take this. (nokias to me have always been really loud)

Very few (none) applications for phone: as of nov '07

No Apple Logo
(kidding)
