This is my second Pantech phone. Though I wasn't impressed with my first, the Pantech Duo, I though I would give them a second chance with the Pantech Matrix Pro.
Needless to say, I will never buy another Pantech phone. With both phones, I have bad connection issues, constantly have to reboot in order to make a call, receive emails, send text messages, etc. I have to reboot at least 4 times a day. My calls are constantly going directly to voice mail. It is very frustrating when I can drive somewhere faster than I can make a phone call.
The features I like are:
1. the dual slide function and QWERTY keyboard
Decent midrange pda

There is going to be more negative comments than positive. It all depends on what the person is looking for in a wm phone. For the user who likes all the bells and whistles, you will be very disappointed. For users like me who can get along without some features..I think will be happy,,,as I am.
As a previous Helio ocean 2 user. This phone is much like that in physical appearance. Shorter, and thicker. Decent camera.
PROS:
Form factor, dual keyboard, sturdy feel in my hand. nice keyboard. Very nice display.
3g is good, wm6 is great. Great reception, Clear voice calls.Very pocketable.
CONS:
Lack of wifi, Small for big hands keyboard is small. Could have a beefier camera. Mirrored screen makes it hard to see outside.
Overall this is a decent phone. Feels alot sturdier than the matrix. And should appeal to the average adult user.
I purchased my pro on ebay new for a decent price. I didnt want to sign up for another 2 yr contract with att.
I.ve not had any of the issues that pantech matrix users have had, with phone slider breaking and coming apart.
I recommend this pda for those folks who need a basic wm, sturdy and reliable phone for basic needs.
