This phone is chosen as a replacement for the t809. Really should be a Katalyst replacement as it looks the same in firmware and phone-body looks. It's not that bad of a phone. If you can get one on tmobile id say to get it.

Pros:
Camera
Call Quality
Text messaging

Cons:
None that I can find

Now this is from reviews and I've never owned the phone but its sweet.

The Samsung T-659 (Formally Named the Samsung Scarlet) is basically a mini PDA. This phone can be best compared to the Sony Ericsson TM506. Both phones are available on the T-Mobile USA market.

I will give you the following in this review:
- What's In the Box
- The pro's and con's
- My review

What's In The Box:
-Starting Guide, Terms and Conditions and Services Guide
-Handset Device
-Battery
-Stereo Headset
-Charger

Pro's & Con's
Pro's:
1: High Res 2.0 Megapixel Camera compared to Samsung 10.2 Mexapixel Camera.
2: Amazing Screen Quality for YouTube and Media Browsing via Web2Go
3: Awesome FULL Webpage handling for WAP 3G Browser.
4: Beautiful 176x144 Video Capture, 5+ Hours on a 4gb Memory Card, T659 can support up to 16gb Memory Card.
5: Loud and Crystal Clear Music from Headset
6: Nice circle menu design.
7: Great Browser

Con's:
1: Horizontal ONLY Camera & Camcorder
2: Ugly 1 color theme set. (Black & Blue)
3: Small Camcorder View
4: Samsung Proprietary Headset & Charging Jack
5: Hard to place Micro SD memory card w/o Pin or Tooth
6: Cannot connect to Windows 7 via Bluetooth

Overall (P&C)
Anything I did not mention, that comes with the phone is pretty decent.

My Review:
Coming from a Nokia 5310, I think I found my cellular soul mate. This phone is my personal PDA, and even though it is not perfect, I still find it the best Samsung Phone yet.
Like Kent German (CNET Cell Phone Reviewer and Senior Editor for CNET.com) said, The body of the phone is outdated. I say Samsung should have made this phone into a flip phone or maybe a touch screen phone.
If anything, This phone may be right for you, looking for just a little more than average phone. I recommend buying the phone.
BUT if you like using the USB to download music onto your phone, Consider the Samsung BEAT or the any Samsung phone that COMES WITH a USB to Computer cord.

Thank You.
Unboxing Video's is available on YouTube.
