OH-IO,
The battery life on this phone is the worst I could ever imagine. I charged it was and talked on the phone for 15min. and the battery of already dead. Besides that, it is an OK phone. Battery life really matters when you're out on the road traveling, so you may want to think twice about getting this phone through At&t/Cingular. Besides the battery life, the phone is still a piece of junk. I would rather pay $200+ for a very reliable phone then to get a free phone like this one. I threw it away because one it was free and two I did not want anyone else to go through the pain I went through. BIA BIAAA!
Decent phone but...

Functionally, the phone is OK.
I had issues with durability
1) The buttons are a little 'spongy', and sometimes had to be pressed multiple times.
2) The power connector that 'snaps' in eventually snapped the back end of the phone loose. The connectors are all plastic, and is not a very durable design. I ended up ditching this phone and purchasing a Motorola P7382i GSM phone - extremely durable

Basic phone in a nice little "candy bar" size, about like a std "Milky Way", etc. When inserted in a leather case, either OEM or 3rd party, phone has a nice "feel" to it. Ericsson, as well as "PhoneScoop" states that is has downloadable Ringtones VIA SMS which may be true, however AT&T does not support it. It can however, save "eMelody" tunes from standard e-mail and has a built in Melody composer. Phone can be connected to PC via seriel synch cable, which is very hard to find, as is other accessories, of which there are very little. Also the speaker volume is kind of hard to hear in anything but the quietest room. I suggest leaving the Vibration alert turned on. The 300LX only has 4 built in games, and the picture above is NOT the R300lx. For a basic phone with alarm, contacts, time, calender, appointments and other internal apps, it is really not bad at all.
