I've never quite understood why people don't research things completely before they put their money down. Another review talks about the lack of free hotspot - well, it's pretty clear when you purchase the phone that hotspot is no longer included free (keep in mind - that's a billing feature, not a phone feature).

Others elsewhere have complained about lack of this or that (voice dial, updated Google Maps, full GPS access...).

I chose this phone based on what it IS, not on what it is not but I wish it was.

What it is: it's a rocket - everything snaps open quickly. I was skeptical of stacks until I saw it in action - way cool. Now not only do I have a TRUE multitasking device, but it also sorts things into groups of related cards - every card that opens as a result of an action in an app will open in a stack. Have a bunch of apps running and need to look for something in particular? Just find the stack and away you go!

The Gorilla glass screen is a huge improvement. No more babying the screen - this one is tough and if not scratch proof, it's scratch resistant to the max.

The keyboard actually works! It doesn't double letters, it doesn't miss letters. I still prefer the feel of the Pixi's keyboard better, but I really wanted the form factor of the Pre2.

It still comes with the Touchstone back. Charge your phone? Drop it on the touchstone and walk away. Beat that, everybody else.

It's still a reasonable size. NO, I don't want a massive screen that I need backpack straps to carry. At the end of the day it's still a phone and PDA - I want to be able to carry it with me comfortably.

Cons:

Um...honestly, I'm still looking...

Make your decision on what it is - it is awesome.

Its a keeper

Pro
key board.
visually very pleasing the eye.
the OS of flipping cards is better then any other OS
small enough not to annoy you but practical enough to integrate : to do list,SMS, Calendar and post-it notes all in a few milliseconds. No other phone on the market can nock this one down

con : the only draw back for me is that you cannot control font size

Wasts of time and energy

This was essentially a waste of time waiting for FEDEX and the anticipation to be let down. The changes are so minute that they are almost non existent. I have free mobile hot spot on my pre plus, the pre2 comes with half the capacity as the plus and you have to pay for it. The most significant change is the size and shape that is not important if the service and features have been reduced.

Secondly, no gsm service on verizon. Basically they want 500.00 for the same phone in a wig with less capability and capacity. Maybe, it really is time to switch to the iphone after 20 years with Palm phones. They simply have not kept up with the times and technology.
