Too much bloatware!

I had high hopes for US Cell's 4G. But this phone cant handle 4G at all. It comes crammed with so much bloatware, each time you open the Android market, 15 updates are required. The phone froze on me twice in the first day.

The battery life is terrible. Minimal use, 2 txts, and a 15 minute phone call. I then get woken up to the sound that the battery is getting low. Not even a full 24 hours!

Yes it has 4G, but the negatives greatly outweigh the positives. It's thick, heavy, has poor battery life, packed with software I will never need (which CANNOT be uninstalled!). The processor isn't fast enough to handle all the extra applications that come with the phone.

Returning the phone today... Going back to my Galaxy S. Pretty much the same phone, only thinner, and more responsive.

Pros: Wi-fi capable, 4g

Cons: Battery Life, Bulky/Heavy, Operating System, Software Bugs, Freezes

Solid LTE Device

I will be straight forward...is this phone an elite level smartphone? NO! It is upper mid level. I found some things that truly impressed me with it however, and some things that I didn't like.

Body - Lightweight plastics....need I say more? It isn't a very durable device but then again...which Samsung is?! They focus on sleekness and display. Little bit thicker than what I would've expected, but not horrid. It does have a Gorilla Glass screen so it has at least SOME protection from your daily life.

Hardware - 1Ghz Hummingbird and 512 of Dual Channeled RAM. Sounds like the kind of stuff that is installed in a year old Galaxy Series phone. Strangely enough after some benchmarks, it is getting some respectible scores! Surprisingly quick response and FSB speeds. Not up to par with a dual core monster like the S2...but still solid.

Storage - 2GBs onboard isn't horrible. Can store several applications and move them to Micro-SD easily enough.

Display - GORGEOUS!!!! Samsung outdid themselves with their new AMOLED Plus screens. VERY bright and vivid. GREAT resolution!

Multimedia - Decent. Sound quality is a little bit less than what I would've expected from a Samsung Galaxy Series...but it is still acceptable.

Speeds - Some people are getting speedtests in the 15-20 Mbps range. Not too shabby at all! I went into my local store and ran Speedtest and got an average of 16.8Mbps. Their new quad band network is pretty impressive!

Battery - ...it's a high-end Android...turn off your Auto-Brightness, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Location...and run a good task manager like Android Assistant. You'll get a full day out of it easily.

Pros - Performance, Display, Data Speed

Cons - Sound Quality (not horrible), Body, Battery Life (can be remedied with smart useage of your settings)

Overall - Not sure why USCC didn't drop the S2 with a LTE Antenna, but, still pretty impressed with the performance of the Aviator. I give it an 8.2/10
