I have had the my touch q for less then 90 days, the phone is not assembly very well. My 7 year old grandson, was playing a game the phone rang he went to answer it. The mesh metal piece that covers the hearing piece came apart and he did not notice this piece sticking straight up, when he brought the phone to his face the metal struck him in his eye tearing the cornea.
When we looked to see how the piece was secured to the phone, and saw it to be double sided tape that secures this metal piece.
Well it is obvious that by having the phone up to your ear, your ear will perspire causing the tape to loosen and no longer securing the metal mesh piece.
I am sure you all have used the scotch tape double sided tabs to hang up light holiday decorations, well that is what this is just alot less stickiness.
Take caution and check this phone regularly before you or someone else gets hurt from this devise.
