PROS:
This phone is the perfect size--fits in your pocket comfortably.
Durable - I only have a silicone cover and screen guard and have dropped it like 1000 times.
Fast - Software is pretty reliable and quick.
CONS:
No removable SD card.
Amount of background software is ridiculous, and have to turn it off often unless you want 2 hour battery life.
Not the most user-friendly intuitive interface.
I do love this phone, if only just for its size! I don't need to carry around a brick!

I am thrilled with this phone! I thought, itâs just a upgrade, but oh boy, it rocks!
I am upgrading from my Droid 4 (D4). To be honest, I really miss the physical keyboard. But with so many available keyboards in the play store + swype + speech to text, I manage pretty well. I also hate the slippery back of the phone, full of finger prints. I also miss the removable SD card, and the Mini is available with 16gb only. You do get 50 gb online storage free for 2 years, but data charges applies.
But thatâs all I have to complain. Otherwise I enjoy everything on this phone. The size is just perfect, feels comfy in your hands, who needs bigger?
Everything is improved from my Droid 4 â which was not bad at all to begin with. Screen resolution is fantastic (720p over qHD on D4, that's 342 ppi vs. 275). Size of phone is smaller in all dimensions, but the screen is larger.
The power and volume keys are much better than my D4 and among the best I ever tried. Screen color is also so much better than D4 & colors are true to life (slight blue tint, though), no need for the AMOLED over-saturated colors. Itâs a bit odd w/ polarized glasses though.
This thing is FAST, smooth & responsive. Canât think of why you would need a faster processor. Probably 5x faster than my D4. Camera is also so much better than my D4 (and activates by shaking the phone). Sound thru speakers canât match HTC One, but is loud & clear. Would love stereo, though.
This phone is packed with tech, which I wonder how it all fits in this little sleek device. 'OK Google now' answers all your questions; driving /sleeping mode, migrate & zap, and much more. So many sensors working for u quietly & efficient. I keep getting surprises every day!
I got Android 2.2 out of the box, already upgraded to 4.4 KitKat.
Edit: Battery life is really a disappointment. after 3 months, the battery barely last for 3-4 hours, w/o much use. Disappointing!

droid mini too high tech for its own good

This phone is by far state of the art. I have enjoyed the face unlock setting, fast internet connectivity, Good screen resolution, awesome camera that activates by shaking the phone, and a lot of developer options I haven't even explored enough to write about. The camera quality is sun part to the I phone, 10mp does not guarantee quality.
I am running Verizon 4Glte, latest version of ice cream. I have struggled with a few glitches. Occasionally the phone will tweak out and try to adjust the time zone on its own until I shut off the screen and force restart. More annoying than that it often doesn't react to motion while on a phone call to Allow me to hang up. I am also not impressed by the battery life. Even when trying to conserve it will not last longer than 24 hours. I look forward to seeing more reviews and others experience with this phone.
Peace,
Kenny
