Cricket Wireless SUCKS!!!!!

The insurance is terrible. They insurance is $7 a month and says it covers physical damage, but my phone got damaged and I had to pay a $75 nonrefundable deductible. I have been paying the insurance for over a year so I have already paid $96 in insurance. So now that I have paid the $75 deductible I have spent $171 on a phone only worth $99. Needless to say i'm pissed!!!!

Samsung Galaxy grand prime. What can one say? As a benchmark test I have used the device on at&t ,cricket, t-mobile, and Metro pcs. So , your wondering why? It's simple I don't do contracts. That being said let's dig in.
Those who look at prepay as lower end obviously don't shop much. The grand prime is a powerful device. Although it lacks many of the gadgets and whistles of the S class , it's still a capable device. Let's think of it as the stripped down rat rod of the phone world. Classic design. Amazing display. Low resolution camera minimum storage. But so what up 128gig SD card solves that my the phone is fluid, buttery smooth and just awesome to use. It's not a flagship phone. But it's in the fleet. Samsung has many lower end devices that are basically worthless. And coming in at under a hundred dollars this is one budget phone you don't want to miss. Phones are at the base a communication device. The grand prime makes awesome phone calls. Crystal clear . Music player is top notch. And I adore the sound on my Sony head phones. Last bit not least the display. For a budget phone you don't expect much and the prime will blow you away. Those who think it's another food stamps phone are missing out. Get a prime and step up

Have had this phone 3 months with me everywhere. It's my first GMS phone since back 14 years ago. Have been on Verizon which worked great, but I am shocked how well reception is with this phone. Changed over to Cricket with this one, it has never missed a beat from day one. Very impressed

Good bargain phone
Carrier: T-Mobile

I bought the T-Mobile version of this phone to replace my Samsung Galaxy Avant. I chose the Grand Prime over the Core Prime, because the Core Prime is about the same size as my Galaxy Avant, while the Grand Prime is slightly bigger screen with 5 inches. It does go a bit faster than the Avant, but otherwise, it's mostly the same phone. My Avant was also acting up, which prompted me to replace that phone. Memory on this phone supports up to 128GB with a microSD card.
One thing in the specs is wrong. For LTE specs, phonescoop lists the T-Mobile & MetroPCS versions adding Band 12. Actually, it has Band 12 (lower 700 band A, B. & C blocks) instead of Band 17 (only lower 700 band B & C blocks), which is what the Cricket (AT&T) version has. It is correct for W-CDMA, that the T-Mobile/MetroPCS version adds Band 4 (AWS), while the Cricket version never included Band 4 (AWS) for W-CDMA (AT&T has always had enough bandwidth to use existing 850 & 1900 band spectrum (Bands 2 for 1900 & Band 5 for 850).
