Before the 5.1.1 update I thought this phone was a complete bust! Super lag, overheating, and freezing up all the time!! 5.1 has turned night into day!! This phone is now what it should have been out of the box!! Super fast, smooth, no overheating, and now just overall sexy!! On the Sprint Spark lte network it is insane fast!! It out benchmarks the G4!! Go get one and enjoy!!

An example of how bad software can ruin a good product

The Flex 2 is a frustrating device. I really want to like it. The size is not bad, considering the current state and expectations of phones. The curve design makes for an attractive looking phone and makes sense for calls. The hardware in theory is great with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on board memory, the latest SOC, and in my opinion a decent camera and screen.

Unfortunately, that is where it ends. The Android 5.0 implementation feels rushed(for details read the many reviews on device). This could be overlooked if not for the buggy software that at times renders the device unusable(no exaggeration) for upwards of 1 to 2 minutes while it is frozen. "**Name your app/software** is unresponsive" messages are an almost daily occurrence and downright crashes with no explanation are not that rare either.

For Smartlock fans, the feature does not seem to work with Bluetooth devices - i've tested with Android wear and in vehicle Bluetooth. No dice for either.

Bluetooth connectivity also seems to be challenged. One example would be when connected to a vehicle via bluetooth. Volume adjustment capabilities seem to go back and forth between needing to control using vehicle volume button and phones. Same occurs with headsets and bluetooth speakers.

Battery life is inconsistent, though i've gotten a day and 1/2 out of it. Perhaps once LG works out the gremlins the battery life will be above average considering the battery size. Thankfully the devices charges exceptionally quickly.

Ultimately, this feels like a rushed product, in a manner that is almost insulting to it's customer. I would not recommend this device at this time to anyone regardless of usage type, as many of the issues plaguing device seem to be rooted in the LG software.

Update: Unfortunately a software update has not corrected the usability issues with this device.
