This is a very good phone. Not state of the art, but good enough for most people. So this is a very good phone that is an excellent value. The Amazon add version is a bargain, and the adds are not intrusive. If you are a prime member having the video app pre installed without the need to get it (it's not on the play store) is actually a plus.

Pros: it's affordable. Has a SD slot, rapid charging capability, unlocked, no contracts, works on all carriers including Sprint, Verizon and the prepaid ones (RingPlus)

Most things would rate good, but not excellent:
1080p screen
Lots (but not all) of LTE bands, will work well domestically and overseas.
Cameras good.
FM radio receiver

Cons:
Lack of NFC
Lack of Compass
Battery is not replaceable.
No wired HDMI support
No fingerprint scanner (can be had on the plus versions)

Neither good or bad.
Micro USB, not USB C

Most people can easily live with the cons. The cost savings over an excellent phone like the Samsung Galaxy S7 are significant. You can buy at least 3 of the 32 GB G4 phones for the cost of one Samsung S7.

Moto G4 Amazon version.

For an inexpensive device, it's pretty good, I don't game and the most I use it for is waze and the irc.

1. I got a good deal, $118 and change, for the 32gb version with Amazon ads on the lockscreen. Which can easily be removed with flashing the stock G4 ROM only took a few minutes, mainly downloading and watching the video. The phone would have cost me $170.

2. Runs fast, and any amazon apps on it can be disabled, but the lock screen ads will remain, and they're not bad, and once into the phone, the phone acts as if you bought the regular model.

3. Came unlocked. And can be used with all carriers both gsm and cdma.

4. Comes with a rapid charger, and does work as fast as they claim. Old USB not USB C

Cons.

No finger print scanner, no USB C and no nfc.

Since this was an amazon version, one no longer can get the bootloader unlocked by Motorola.

Camera is ok, it doesn't suck but it's no Samsung or Apple.

Build while not cheap feeling isn't like a Droid Moto version. And is somewhat a fingerprint magnet. But going to use a case when it arrives.

Phone is on 6.01, I use it for Waze quite often, the mount I had for my Note 5 works perfect with it. What I do like is it's not hot after my commute to work, the Note 5 would get real warm. There are very few modifications to the OS, so it feels like stock Android and a Snapdragon 617.
