Motorola Moto G5 Plus
Phone Scoop Review
Mar 24, 2017 by Eric M. Zeman
The Moto G5 Plus is a mid-range Android smartphone that covers the basics and then some. It represents the company's most refined and powerful G yet. If you're in the market for a visually appealing, unlocked handset that outperforms most others at the same price, the Moto G5 Plus should be at the top of your list. I am pleasantly suppressed with my Moto G5 plus.
Purchased the 64gb, 4gbRam, model. Purchased at Best Buy for $299.99
Pro's:
-touch sensitivity extremely fast
-phone reacts very fast, no lag
-using on Verizon, popped in SIM card, and works great
-great sound quality/ call quality
-great form factor
-great battery, after first full charge, on day 3 and at 33% battery
-NO BLOAT!!! after updating Android, and stock apps, only 1.3 gb of storage was used.
-loud speaker
-loud ringer
-cosmetically looks great
-flat screen so I can install tempered glass unlike any Samsung!!!
-no dropped calls so far ( was a chronic problem on my S7 edge )
-Expandable memory
-great High res/UHD camera
-Finger print reader works great every time ( first phone I have had that actually worked correctly)
Con's:
-bluetooth shuts off and stays off when you power cycle phone, not sure if this can be changed somehow in settings, it annoying, I always forget to turn on my bluetooth after a reboot, or powering it off, then I sit and wonder why none of my devices are connecting... LOL
-limited availability of accessories such as cases
-no wireless charging
Over-all, the Moto G5 Plus has been a great value. I had massive problems with my previous phones, Galaxy S7 edge, and S6 edge plus.
I am never buying a Samsung again!!!
Best of all, no Monthly device payment driving up my monthly cellular bill!!!
