Nokia Rebrands Series 60
Nov 2, 2005, 12:10 AM by (staff)
Nokia announced they will rename Series 60 to S60 and give it a more modern logo. Nokia's Series 60 platform is well known, as it is the best selling smartphone OS to date. It is likely that by changing the identity to no longer reference Nokia's OS naming convention (Series 40, Series, etc.) or the company's font, Nokia is trying to make the OS more appealing to other manufacturers for licensing.
