In Depth review of the sleek new Sidekick 3 for T-Mobile, with Video Tour and side-by-side comparison with Sidekick II.
For years the Sidekick (or Hiptop for users not on T-Mobile) has been the it phone of the socialites from rich Hollywood stars to the local high school basketball star. The Sidekick put always-on push email, web browsing, instant messaging and yes, clunky voice calling in the hands of people who needed to be connected but didn't have corporate needs or corporate budgets.
The Sidekick 3 offers all of the same functionality and ease of use that the first two models are known for, only now Danger and T-Mobile have packed it in a sleeker, faster package. The handset is finally small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket or be held in the hand during a call. With the addition of Bluetooth, it's no longer necessary to even hold the Sidekick during a call.
The Sidekick has also been updated with a 1.3 Megapixel camera and music player. Between these updates and the upgrade to faster EDGE data, the Sidekick 3 is now on-par with most other mid-range handsets it competes against. If you prefer texting, email and IM over phone calls the Sidekick 3 is still one of the best choices for people who don't run a Blackberry server. But now it's a good phone for people who want all that and talk on the phone too.

Can you make your own ringtones for the SK3?
I hate the t-mobile ones..
They have songs i heard in 1997 with new tags next to them, Lol..
But yeh, I really do hope where allowed to make our own this time!!

google images on sk3
can anyone give me the answer to why the images don't load when searching on Google images, i have to guess what picture to select and then follow through with it until i can see what it is

Frames on web pages?
I just got the tmobile SDA and am still within the exchange time limit. I have a site that I need to access when I am on the road that uses frames. Does this sidekick 3 allow entrance on a site that uses frames? The SDA does not...though I have not yet downloaded the Opera version of web browser to see if that one allows it.

Huge, Crappy Screen & Expensive!
For $300 you get a piece of Crap. The Screen itself is an absolute turn off, for the money your getting ripped off hardcore!
If you want the features of this phone plus alot better screen and more feartures your far better off buying a PDA phone like the Q, Treo, XV6700, Samsung I730 Etc.

Battery Life, is anyone else noticing this?
I got my sk3 on June 29. What's up with the battery life? it can't keep up!! I haven't change my usual usage and the sk3 is dying on me a few hours before the time that I usualy charge it. With my old sk2 I was able to do everthing and I would still have at least 2 battery bars before charging everynight. Is anyone else noticing this???

JUST TO MAKE THINGS CLEAR!!
Ok first off i was reading all the stuff people are writing about the sidekick3 its funny how things get so blown up so fast. well first off everyone thinks paris was the first to get the sidekick3 but in fact it was mc hammer cause he is their spokes person. second of the camera does in-fact suck! its not clear its alittle fuzzy. other then that its a ok phone and data device. there is NOT video on the sidekick 3 !! also t-mobile only sent two stores the sidekick 3 to upgrading customers because t-mobile only had a lotted amount of the sidekick 3's and so there for only 2 stores have them till t-mobile gets their next amount of them. oh and its not water proof haha i droped mine in water 😢
skII keypad in the SKIII
Is there a reason the more rubbery keypad from the SK2 couldn't be put in a SK3?
