How is it that the "biggest and best wireless company" with "superior service" is all messed up today because of the heavy rain. I got a sign on my phone saying, Searching For Service?? Friends around me now with T-Mobile and Sprint have service...so what the F?!?! Can someone shed some light on this non-sense. If a little rain shuts down VZW, what else can we expect. First they got S**T phones, they're all crippled, a horrilbe UI, nothing new coming out until who knows when, no new PDA's, NADA.

I live in New Mexico and have had alltel for a year now. No complaints so far. I recently came into a job where turn by turn directions is a must to have. Another employee has verizon and was showing me the other day that he can put an address in his phone and it would tell him turn by turn directions to the address he typed in. Was he just using a web site for this or a specific program though verizon?

Does anyone know when the Env price drop that was seen a few weeks back on testman will role out?

How about on update on the release date for the 6800?

Does anybodyyyyyyyy have any idea when verizon will really come out with the upgrade for the 6700? I've heard so many rumors about this phones debut date but so far nothing not even when i call verizon do they know anything. I like verizon service but i'm so tired of waiting for them to come out with phones other companies have out for some time before them. Verizon really needs to get their act together in this area!!!

Well, I just got through returning my Sammy u540 (speakerphone echo issue)... bummer. I'll be looking around for a new phone, prolly either the LG 8300, or the 8350.

One Q, though: I know everyone HATES the VZW UI with a passion that will outlive time itself, but one of the good things about the Sammy 540 was that it had a theme on it that made the VZW UI actually halfway attractive- the 'Rainbow' theme (a name which makes me laugh everytime I hear it, for some reason). 😁

Are there any other VZW phones that have this UI theme? It's light-years better than the old 'red bars' theme, or even the 'blue bars' -type stuff (which is only a hair better, really).

If I have my Verizon Wireless number forwarded to another number (non Verizon Wireless) and a Verizon Wireless subscriber calls me while my number is forwarded, will this still be considered an "in network" call or will this be deducted plan "anytime minutes?"

Scheduled for next month, was told by a rep at a mall location today, and the 6800 3-4 months away.

Have any other agents noticed when you order a Razr MAXX from verizon they send a free motorola S9 stereo bluetooth headset and a data cable. sorry if this has already been posted just wanted to know if everyone knew this. kinda makes you wonder if they have a boat load of these still in stock, and they are trying to get rid of them to make way for the Razr2.

Some years ago, I purchased a Cingular phone through a Cingular reseller (I'm assuming that's the same as "Authorized Agent"?). I got a better deal through them thats why I bought it through them instead of through the corporate store. My phone worked alright for a few months, until I had many problems with my phone including battery not holding a charge, phone resetting or turning off, voicemail icon not displaying. and phone constantly roaming onto AT&T ...

Maybe somebody can help me understand something. I want to upgrade to a pda phone (Q or something like that) mainly for the pda functionality. I use mobile web on my razor and pay something like $5/month - not so bad.

Verizon tells me that mobile web is not available on pda phones, that i need to subscribe to the $40/month data plan to use the web. They said they's a pay per kilobyte option, but the system often does not log you out after use and people end up paying for 24 hours of service based on not logging out. Probably a realistic scare tactic.

This seems like complete BS to me. The not logging out problem seems to be a technical problem on their end and one they should reimburse for.

Ok here is my situation... I am an indirect agent and I was working today and a customer had a samsung a930 who did a ne2 upgrade to a u620. He left his A930 with me to "recycle" the ONLY thing wrong with it is the main screen has a black blotch on the lcd screen covering maybe 30%. I am wondering if I can put the a930 on my own personal account and then do an asurion claim pay the $50 and then put my enV back on my account once I recieve the new a930 then sell the insurance a930 to another person or possibly keeping the a930 as a back up...

1st is it worth it?

2nd will they approve the claim on a phone I just added to my account that day?
