We all know by now some of the upcoming offerings that verizon hopefully will release by the end of august.

Which one excites you the most? Or is the one you think you might try out?

I think I'm gonna hold out for the Blackberry Curve, but the 755p could be tempting as well.

What are your thoughts???

According to a post on HowardForums, he talked to his Verizon rep and he showed him the KS20 on his internal website. He also said it is supposed to be released this month.

At the moment I am a Attw customer, even though my contract with Attw expired, because I live in one of their "extended area" they wouldn't change plans.
Does anybody know Verizon is in the BayShore/Brentwood area of Long Island, New York? Just between the Sagtikos and 5th ave and just north of North Spur Dr.
If someone can tell me if the coverage by Verizon is good in that area, I'll be able to "dump" Attw right on or after Nov. 24th.
Anybody who uses Verizon up there, please let me know how the service quality is there please.

When will Verizon be getting a Blackberry Pearl or a Blackberry with a camera?

My grandma is getting a phone and I was thinking about the 2366i. I assume it's pretty good since it's a Nokia.

My E815 has pretty much had it. I need to upgrade but cant find anything Im comfortable with. My primary concern is reception because Im in a rural area. But after checking three different stores Ive gotten the same answer; nothing is as good as the E815.

What phone that is out now has the best reception?

I had this issue with my VX8000 and now the enV. The problem is, if I'm on the call with person 1 (let's call him "bob") and a person 2 calls ("dave") and I click the SEND button to switch to Dave, the screen will display "Dave." But when I am finished with the call and press the SEND button to switch back to "bob," the phone still displays "Dave" on it even though I'm now talking to "bob." It will also still display the number of minutes I talked to Dave instead of Bob. Then when you hit the END button to end completely, the phone will then only display Bob's name again (for a few seconds until the screen clears).

Does anyone know why this problem exists and is anyone else having this same issue?

Is it just me or is Verizon dropping a ton of calls lately? I live in the Boston area and have been experiencing an unusually high amount of dropped calls due to no signal.

I was just at a Verizon store going to purchase the new Blackberry 8830. I don't need the internet and wanted that phone more for the organization and to text message. They would not sell it to me without the data package. Not even if I kept it for a month and then cancelled it. Does anyone know what this is? I had a motorola Q and had no data package. I really want to get the phone so any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I'm lookin' at the LG 8300, and I noticed that there's no way to 'lock' the outside music player keys.

To me, that's kind of dumb... seems like they could be activated accidentally lots in your pocket, which would either play music when you're not expecting it (embarrassing, at, say, a funeral, or in a meeting), or, even if you have no music loaded up, it would still turn on the outer screen lots, burning up battery life.

Has this been a significant prob for anyone? Does the new firmware (V04) fix it in anyway? Or is there some way to disable the outside keys that isn't well-known?(I don't like belt-clip cases).

I just got an inpluse phone for my younger brother, and wanted to know if there is any kind of text plan that verizon doesn't advertise for the inpluse plan. (for example, 200 text for 5.99 or so).

Does anyone knows? and if there is whats the text plan called?

With the new sw update for the rim device gsm can be unlocked to support other carriers sim cards, global support would need to provide the unlock code and act must be in good standing for at least 60 days.

I saw in the NEW PHONES section that Sprint and Quest are getting the Samsung M520. Its a cute little slider phone that T-Mobile has had a version of for many months. Anyone have any info on this phone coming to Verizon? If they're creating a CDMA version, I would hope VZW would snag it, instead of sticking with the other dull and boring they currently have.

what is the rate per minute for checking websites if you don't have the data plan? i would like to be able to look at my e-mail (on outlook web access) maybe once in a while every day, but i don't want to pay the 24.99 a month. is this possible, and slightly cheaper than the monthly rate? thanks!
