Can anyone confirm there is a UMTS issues in Arlington, VA? I complained about the iPhone 3G not have very good 3G speed and they stated there is a UMTS issue in this area since 7/16/08.

My issue: Fast speeds for 30 minutes or slow and then time-outs, mega latency, etc... Edge is VERY reliable.

Note: My 881U modem doesn't seem to have any issues in the same area. Other people are experiencing the same thing with the iPhone. Tech stated the 881U uses different 3G technology than the iPhone which doesn't make sense to me, but...

Is it the phone or is there really a network issue?

Im on my third Motorola RAZR V9- the slider phone, and its crapping out on me, does anyone know what phones at&t will let me pick from when I send this one back? Thanks in advance for any help.

I hear Iphone users were to get free wifi in places like barnes and nobles / strbucks, but walked in to B&N and no such "free" option on at&t high speed wifi page. can anyone enlighten us on this confusing chapter ??

with att not having any high end phones from nokia or sony? or anybody really? i have the iphone now but the talk quality is just not there, my wife has the V3xx and is sound so much better and had a signal in many places the mine dont. I know, why not just get one of those? well I really wont something a little more high end than that.

Ok, I didn't agree when they decided to remove our coffee machines with gourmet coffees from our break rooms, but I got used to bringing my own.
Then, it was the TVs from our break rooms.
Now they take away our recycling bins? How much lower can they go?

I got 2.3mbps on my cell phone Wednesday evening while during a speed test, appearently AT&T has indeed upped the network, that speed was probably just a burst, but I have been getting much higher speeds than 3 months ago.

I live in Las Vegas, and use an unlocked N95-3.

Hello all, I was with AT&T, switched to T-Mobile on a whim and found out their coverage can't compare to AT&T. After a lot of calls to T-Mobile they finally agreed to let me out of the contract without an ETF and are letting me keep my Blackberry Pearl 8120. My question is how can I get my Pearl to work with AT&T? Is there a chance that T-Mobile would give me the code? Does anyone have any referrals as to a place that can be trusted not to rip me off if I pay for a code? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I have to say this. The 3G Iphone really is a piece of crap!!! I live in a full 3G area and the dropped calls are unbelievable! It got so bad, AT&T credited me my whole month with the new Iphone. Yeah, I know the fan boys are going to respond with "why don't you just turn off 3G?".....yeah right! The OS is slow as hell, the lag is still there. There is just no reason to unload your first generaton Iphone for this POS!!!

is it just me or does at&t have sucky phones? the only good phone they have is the iphone, but it is way too expensive, especially with the monthly payments for it. i need a new phone SO badly, but i can't get one because none of their phones meet my requirements. i want a phone with a qwerty keyboard that is NOT a pda, so i'm not required to pay the $30 a month for internet. i wish at&t would get phones like the env2 or the samsung glyde from verizon. am i the only person who feels this way?

had a problem with not having a signal with the iphone, I just got new iphone and I went to this bar with some friends that I have always had a signal with any other phone that I had with at&t, in fact my friends had there phones with them and they all had a good signal, they had a moto KRZR K1 att branded and a Nokia something also att branded and my iphone said no servie the hole night. I returned it for a new one since it was only a week old and they gave my another brand new one in the box and we went back this weekend and the same thing. I had no service and they all did, and it is not just at that bar, it has happened at my house to. side by side with there phones with a good signal and my with no service.

So I am committing what I am sure is a mortal sin by even ENTERING this forum (being employed by the BigPink) however I have a question concerning AT&T service for the sake of my father who has an account.

He is looking at a Blackberry Pearl (The version of the 8120 that AT&T carries) and he's nearly sold on the concept (he needs one, he just doesn't realize it yet.) but his biggest hangup was the cost of the data.

He is convinced it's $40 a month for the standard Blackberry e-mail package. I can't access the AT&T site from my work computer so I was wondering what the pricing runs for the Blackberry Data plans with AT&T so that I can help him find a good match with his current provider.

WOW T mobile is selling the iphone for 1.00 ┚¬ that is only $1.47 in US dollars with an 69.00 ┚¬ monthly package that is about $ 102 US or you can get it for 59.95 ┚¬ = to about $89 with a 49.00 ┚¬ monthly package = to about $72 US. Who else after seeing this thinks AT&T is screwing us.

I have a complicated story. I had service with Bellsouth Mobility back in 1997. Actually, it was in my name for my brother. He ran up the bill and never told me that he didn't pay it. That was 11 years ago. Well in Jan 2007, I applied for service with Cingular (Formerly Bellsouth Mobility) and they told me I had a bill over $1,000. But, they would let me have service because this bill was so old and written off. well I had service for less than a month and cancelled it because of the reception where I lived at the time. Now, a year and a half later, I moved and wanted to go back to Cingular, now AT&T. They're refusing telling me that I owe them a bill from way back in 1997 for over $1,000!
