If a current ATT iphone (1st gen) customer puts his/her sim in a jailbroken 3g iphone what will happen??

1. Will the 3g phone work?

2. Will the 3g phone access the 3g network?
event thought the customer is on the 1st gen

My current billing from AT&T is based on an expired contract from the original AT&T. It is GSM service. They will not offer a new contract because my rates are just too good! My Nokia 6820 is starting to fail. I have been told that the current GSM phones require the "orange"/64K SIM not the "blue" smaller capacity SIM and therefore I can not connect a more current phone. Furthermore I have been told that my account will not even accept the entry of a new SIM number. Is this correct and therfore should just buy a phone on ebay? Or should escalate my issue within AT&T?

Am I the only one who HATES doing changes through Phoenix?? I like Telegence.. I'm good with telegence.. It takes so much longer to go and click validate a million times before changing something... grr..

Am I alone here? Do you guys prefer phoenix or telegence?? 🤨

Does anyone with this phone know why there is a symbol of an envelope and a symbol of what looks like a sim card next some sent txt messages??? I can't find anywhere in the user manual about this and of course no one at AT&T knows either. It is only on a few of my messages out of like 70 and I would really like to know what means. haha

How do you forward text messages with the iPhone 3G? What is the best bluetooth headset on the market in terms of call clarity, overall performance & battery life?

I have had problems with the 3G signal at my house. First it was the Blackjack and then the Sam a737 or 767 i cant remember. The signal for 3G is very weak 1-2 bars at most times. Never had a full signal. I would love to buy the Iphone but I am hessitant because of known problems with the signal on it and my specific problem. The web site says my location is in 3G coverage and per ATT reps it is as well. I had to switch from my Blackjack to a Pearl and my wife had to switch from the sam a737 to a v3m because edge works just fine.
1. Is there anything that can be done on the network side? Trouble tickets?
2. Does anyone know how to change from 3G to edge and keep the signal on edge only? I know the Blackjack was able to do it but I dont ...

Does anyone know what the symbol w/a yellow box mean when it appears by the envelope on "sent" txt messages??? I just recently noticed it and it is only on a few of my messages and none of the others have it. The user manuel for this phone does not tell much.

New to the service and while it works well most of the time it does have issues with dropped call, screen freezes and internet connectivity problems. I bought it last week and it came with the newest software upgrade.
I am hearing news that the issue with Iphones is the Inferion Chipset. IF that's the case Im not sure I have a lot of faith in some sort of software fix for a hardware problem. I'm in no hurry. Should I just return it and wait it out?

I've been with nextel for about ten years and I'm looking to switch because the service has just gotten to be more than I can bare. I'm very interested in switching my company to ATT mainly b/c I've heard good things and a lot of my friends/family have it. I've looked around and am looking to switch about 20-28 lines over from nextel. I decide to change providers. Am going with T-mobile (for UMA service). My order from T-moile shipped today. ATT cut my phones off tonight just after their call center closed. Also blocked my web access to my account info. The account comes up as cancelled. I paid through the 15th of August. Tonight is the 8th. My numbers have not been ported yet to T-mobile. I should receive the phones for my family on Tuesday the 12th. What right does ATT have to treat my famly this way? Have they left my entire family all without service for 4 days because they are mad at us for going with antoher provider? I paid my bill in full every month for over 25 months. Looks like they upgraded the network the last few weeks because Im getting alot faster 3G
connection on my N95. It's gone from about 150-250kbs to 300-350kbs whenever I test the speed using the nokias built in browser.

Ok, heres my problem! I have an moto v555. I live in a rural area. Service is scetchy in alot of places. I usualy have decent service. but there is one place i need service and i dont have it. My brother has the exact same phone with at&t and has great service in the area I need service. I have called at&t and they said they did what they could to fix it. (but never told me what they did). And I still have the same problem. So i went back into the store and they gave me 3 different phones to try. I put my sim in every phone and no service! So I tried my sim in my brothers phone that always has service, I had service for about 1 min, then nothing!! This tells me its an issue with the service itself(i think). OK....I purchased the 3G iphone on 7/12. After having it a week and a half the screen would blank out completley....it does it all the time and takes mashing the power button up to 30 plus minutes for it to cut on.

I took it to apple.....I have "liquid damage" to the bottom port. Now listen....a bout a week ago I put my phone in the cup holder of my car....didn't notice that there was condensation from a drink in there.....so it got into the speaker area....I cut the heater on to try it out...it was fine. Now apple won't do anything.....but I have no reason to lie on this post.....My phone had the mechanical screen issue before the cup holder thing happend. Now....I have 2 days w/ my 30 days to return the phone....If I do this at at&t...

I just purchased an IPhone (still waiting to receive it) but was curious if the IPhone supports most flash/java for the internet. I use quite a few websites that use both, so I'm wondering if the Iphone's web browser is going to support them.
