A little advice from the experts...

Hey everyone- I just bought a 3 year old T-Mobile dealership after having been working for Verizon Direct for almost 5 years. Switching between the two has has been an adjustment, so I'm looking for any advice about the tricks of T-Mobile from any of you experts out there. If anyone needs any insider info on Verizon, I'll do my best to help. Thanks! 😳 😁

Question For The Rep's

Hi,
I currently work for Verizon Wireless and am considering moving to another carrier due to disagreements between me and my employer. my question is what type of compensation (hourly average) could I expect if I applied and was employed by your company? I plan on cross-posting this thread so please don't get peeved if you see it in another forum you view. And if your curious VZW can't accommodate my desire for higher learning i.e. college with less than a month till the semester starts I'm kinda in a panic. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Im with tmobile, but my phone says Cingular sometimes?

So I'm sitting in my room with my cell phone. (Nokia 6682) And I lose TMobile service. Then My phone says "Cingular" in place of "T-Mobile".

Is it roaming into Cingular's network?

Can I make this stay on Cingular's Network?

Will this happen everytime I lose service with tmobile and Cingular has service where I'm at?

Will this cost extra for this "roaming"? (I don't think it will though.)

Since most of my friends have Cingular, will it cost them if I call them while my phone displays "Cingular", or will it count as M2M to them?

Please help me understand.

Thanks!

TMo pulls ads from FX, eric lashes out

good tv is too rare in this day and age. while everyone seems to disagree about what makes good tv, i think most of us will agree it's not on the networks. it's on hbo, and it's on FX. and now, thanks to the american family association (an ultra-conservative organization) t-mobile will no longer be supporting good tv like the FX network because it's content is "inconsistent with t-mobile's values". yup tmo pulled all their ads from fx because rescue me and it's always sunny in philly are too edgy for the AFA. i don't know what to say except that i'm disappointed.

do you think mr. dotson would take a call from phonescoop? ;-)

Will Tmobile match rate plans?

Due to a new job that I'm getting I will have access to a better rate plan with another carrier.

We have 3 phones on a family plan and 2K minutes (phones are in wife's name).

However with an employer discount it will be cheaper to go with Sprint.

Our one year contract will be up next month (August).

I'm just wondering if Tmobile matches rate plans is all.

Thanks

Samsung T609

Hi everyone...Just a quick question to all of you out there who may know about the T609. I am currently on the E335 which was discontinued a while ago. Lately I have noticed with my E335 that when I make a call sometimes or when I receive a call sometimes the other party cannot hear me. I can hear them fine but they cannot hear me. I have to hang up and redial. I am not sure if this is a hint of something to come or what not so I have decided to upgrade. I hve taken a liking to the Samsung T609. I have read reviews on it in a number of plaes and now I am asking the group. What does everyone think of the phone?(besides the cheesy white color) Does anyone have any insight on wheter I should move ahead and get it or should I look elsewhere? It ...

Attention T-mobile customers ( kinda long) reps chime in

Hello i am a t-mobile rep here in good ole san diego. I have to admit that i enjoy where i work ... pretty fun and the group i work with is a great bunch of people. I have a couple questions for customers and the customers that are nice and considerate this excludes you

1) why when you walk into our store ( direct) you make a scene and are wondering why is your bill so high? please read you bill! you may have went over your minutes, downloaded ringtones/games , or ran up your text messagaing.

2) do not yell at the reps or act rude. how would you like it if we went to your job and yelled at you? take that into consideration

3) if you are losing 10,000 dollars of business a day because of your phone, please buy a 100-200 phone w/o ex...

"Manual Network Search"??? Help!!!

I've been reading along here about doing a manual search, but I can't seem to make it work. I live in Oakland, CA. and where I live that map shows a pale green...so needless to say, coverage in my apt stinks. 👿 I go from 1 to maybe 2 bars...but most of the time the phone is "searching". So the rep at the store suggested I try doing a manual search. So I go into phone, then network, then select manual...then go to menu and select #1 "find a new network". Then the phone will say "downloading settings from the network". So then it say's at the top "T-Mobile or Cingular"...so since T-Mobile isn't working so hot, I select Cingular. The phone then says "Sending settings to the network"...then a "long" pause. It either comes back with ...

Very limited, I expect more!

I had T-mobile, it works great in a city, but it is the worse when it comes to coverage area.
Their coverage map tries to do a good job, but take advantage of the trial period.
Unless you just stay in a major city, I would go with another carrier.
What is the purpose of having all those minutes if they you can't use them in your travels.
I want, expect and need coverage.
As for customer service, I had no problems with either Cingular or Verizon.
For what they are paying Zeta, they could use that money for more towers!

I Need Something New

Ok, so I have a S710a that I am in love with.( Bought from Cingular and had unlocked) But unfortunately, I dont like holding onto one phone for to long. This phone has been great, hell there is absolutley nothing wrong with it. Yet I want to upgrade to something new. Was never a big SE fan until this phone, so I am kind of out of the loop to if it was just the S710interface that was a winner, or if SE finally got there heads out of there asses after the whole T300 series phones. So if any of you can lend a hand, let me know........What is an appropriate update to this phone.

PHONE UPGRADE

I've had my Nokia 6101 for 7 months and it started out pretty good but then it started dropping calls and shutting off by itself and so I want to get a new phone. The Motorola PEBL caught my eye and I know I can't qualify for an upgrade so I was wondering how much it was going to cost to buy it. If you have any information please post. THANKS A LOT!! 🙂 😁 😉

Won a SDA! Should I leave Verizon for T-Mobile?

Hey All!

I won a SDA phone through "T-Mobile Days" out here in California! 😁 I'm really jazzed and happy about it, for I really like the phone and want to be with T-Mobile...for as a whole, I like them as a company (better than VZW). Also had a chance to play around with the phone (my 1st Smartphone!), and I really like it...I'm hooked! But there is a couple of issues holding me back.

1st, I'm still under contract with Verizon till next year. 2nd, the reception where I live in Oakland, CA. I found out is a little on the weak side. A friend who has T-Mobile makes calls just fine outside in front of my apt building...but inside can be sketchy (1-3 bars). 3rd, have family/friend's still on VZW (mobile to mobile).

So should I:...
