? for TMo users

I have an unlocked L6, using it for prepaid. I was trying to download ringtones from 3gupload.com but when I tried to connect to the internet, it said user barred. Is the internet off limits for prepay customers or am I doing something wrong. Any help or answers would gladly be appreciated.

unlocked phone showing cingular as carrier in san diego, normal?

Hey all T-mobile people, a quick question, please 🙂

My roomate bought an unlocked Motorola L6 quad band phone (to replace his t-mobile branded Moto 360) and when he changed the sim card, the home screen on the phone shows cingular as the carrier.
We are in San Diego. He configured T-zones and that works just fine (with the T-mobile online tool). He is concerned about the Cingular name on his screen. I did a network search from his phone and all I got was Cingular appearing twice (as if it was two networks), but T-mobile never appearead. Is this normal in San Diego or is he somehown roaming on Cingular and not getting a T-mobile signal? I think he is concerned about roaming charges, even though I keep telling him he shouldn't. But maybe...

No More Notebook ... Best Phone for EMAIL? Internet?

When I travel I have lugged around my 6.5lbs notebook computer much too long now.

I would think with EDGE and the advancement of phone email clients I can find a nice phone to handle my simple email and internet needs especially while on the road.

I need to get a phone where I can read and respond to email ... accessing my POP email accounts.

It also would be nice to be able to visit a few web sites and make a few message board posts using the phone as well.

What phone would you suggest? Any experiences you want to share?

Who knows the secret?

Okay, remember the Wal-Mart thing? You know what I'm talking about. Okay, so I've tried a variety of websites, and cannot find one that will accomplish what Wal-Mart.com could. Anybody have any ideas? Maybe I'm incompetent, so some detailed instructions on what I'm doing wrong might help. I have been sending the Http://www. website, and been having no luck. HELP!

18042 Coverage

Supposedly tMobile is going to add more cell sites that will cut down on no-service/dropped calls in zip code 18042 (Easton, PA). Just wondering if any tMbobile folks out there have any new news on this?

Thanks very much for any and all assistance!

Prepaid Service....

I am thinking of getting a prepaid phone. I am on a family pla with my girlfriend, and I want to use my current line to get a wireless card through tmobile for my laptop. Would it be cheaper to go for a prepaid service, or to just add a line to our family plan. I do a lot of instant messaging on my phone, but don't use alot of minutes.

3G in the US with Tmobile?

Does anyone know if T-Mobile is going to be using 3G? I know Cingular is now launching a few phones that are capable of it.

Callertunes Experiance

Just curious on how people enjoy callertunes? I just learned all types of tricks and personalizations seeing i don't have a phone I don't use it. Being a rep you learn new things everyday

Now alot of people think only with Verizon or Sprint you can let the person know that its a song while they wait for you to answer. But thats not the case and also verizon sprint and whoever does it are copy cats.. so let me know... just like nintendo with should buttons and analog sticks.... innovation! Sincerest form of flattery is to copy!

Opera mini browser

Hey all, I don't know if any of you guys have noticed, but if you use t-zones and go to google, you can type in "opera mini" and find a link in opera's website to download a Mini Browser. It looks really awesome, and works on just about every phone, but I can't seem to get mine to connect to the internet. It starts up on a test screen, and whenever I try to test the network, it says "you do not have a working network connection. Please visit help.opera.com/mini/ with your desktop browser for instructions. (error: 1.0. 10:80)"

I tried going to the website and it leads you to T-Mobile's website and some instructions in how to get "linked to a service point", but it still never works.

Has anyone had any success in using this brows...
