Sidekick 3 - Hype, or Hysteria?

I know there is much hoopla about the new Sidekick 3, and I am sure there are already people camping out in front of malls and dressing up like Jay Z or Darth Vader or Madonna all holding Sidekick 3's in anticipation of the release of the new device. But I would really like to know, what is all the hype about?

From what I've read, it seems like the MDA has all the same features that the Sidekick 3 will have, and more. The versatility of having a Windows based system will be unmatched. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the wifi will not be on the new Sidekick version either.

Maybe I'm old school, but I'd like to know your version of WHY is the Sidekick such a big story? Is it because of Tom Cruise sporting a Sidekick on national ...

NEED PHONE ADVICE!!!!!!!

I have had my Nokia 6101 for 6 months. This phone is pretty good except all of the sudden it started turning off on its own and when listening to hi-fi ringtones it would skip then turn off. I am ready to get a newer, better phone but I know I can't get an upgrade so I was wondering how much would it cost to buy a new phone. I was thinking of going to eBay but wasn't sure if that was the best way to go. If you have any suggestions PLEASE post. THANK YOU!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜‰

fruity PEBLS

Hey guys, I'm a sales rep in Orange County, California, and the new fruity PEBLS, as well as the old PEBL, are not selling worth crap. I think so far we've sold maybe 2 of them, and that's because the sales rep had to REALLY try to convince the customer to buy it.

I am just wondering if any of you guys have been selling or buying them in large amounts? Are they really flying off the shelves like our DM and RMs are claiming? DMs and RMs have lied before, so I'd rather ask other real people. Also, what area are you from?

T-Mobile and Del Taco collaboration

As you guys have noticed, all the T-Mobile reps have to wear the new fruity PEBL t-shirts until the end of June in order to sell the new phone. When I first saw them I knew they looked familiar, then when I walked into a Del Taco last night, I knew it was true.

According to The Wireless Bee, T-Mobile and Del Taco are working towards a merger. The new fruity PEBL t-shirts are the first step in making similar uniforms. T-Mobile used the same company that makes the Del Taco t-shirts to make the fruity PEBL shirts.

Furthermore, T-Mobile has also hired the same company that makes the microwaves and kitchen equipment and other various kitchenware and are having them shipped to our T-Mobile corporate stores. They are also going to start s...

Switching from Prepaid to Postpaid

Hello everyone, I am currently a Tmobile to go customer, but am looking into switching to Postpaid. Is there a way to check my credit online without having to call/go to a store? I wasn't sure if I enter my credit card SSN info on the credit screen, if it'll charge me first or just let me know if I was approved.

Also, am I available to receive a free phone like the nokia 6101, like I would be able to if I was starting a new account?

New Plans

Any T-Mo reps out there have an idea if you're getting any new promotions for June?

My Verizon contract is up and I'm getting tired of waiting for them to release a bar-style phone. Meanwhile the t509 is looking pretty HOT.

I'm specifically looking for a nice deal on internet. I've already compared Verizon and T-Mo endlessly so I know about how many more minutes you get with T-Mo, etc. etc, so please don't tell me how much better it would be at T-Mobile even without a promotion. Once I add on the mobile-to-mobile (which Verizon gives me for free) and the Unlimited text/pix package (which I got from VZW for $5 during a promotion) I'm actually paying more with T-Mo because Verizon gives me a corporate discount and T-Mo doesn't.

Used Phone Help?

I'm under contract with T-Mobile but my 1.5 yr-old phone broke is no longer under warranty. T-Mobile either wants a 2-yr contract extension or purchase a new phone for many $$.

All I want is a functioning phone -- if I buy a used unlocked T-Mobile phone from E-bay and put in my SIM card from the current phone, will that result in a funtioning phone ?

Or, do I need to activate it ... ?

Thank you for the help/advice!

Regards,
Mark

prepaid plans- VERY limited coverage on T mobile

Just bought a new QUAD BAND Sony Erikson z520a unlocked GSM phone for use in Europe, though I live here. Want to find reasonable prepaid plan on wide GSM network. T mobile reasonable rate but seems very limited coverage. Looks like they are not using their 850 band for originating calls. Any idea if this will change. Any other ideas for prepaid coverage, mostly for US to US calling. Thanks.

Holsters?

Where are the TMobile holsters? It seems they only offer leather cases but not holsters. I find myself walking into Verizon/Cingular stores looking for a holster for a TMobile phone. Is there a reason they don't offer it but the others do? ๐Ÿคจ

Switching Back

Ok so I have had cingular for over a year and no complaints about service. However, living on my own i use more than 450 minutes. Cingular's next plan up is 59.99 for 900 minutes plus i pay 4.99 for 200 text msgs.

Only plus is i get 18% off my bill every month cause of where i work. (i get the same at verizon and sprint)

Now T-Mobile has some nice plans....

39.99 for 600 minutes and unlimited n&w
39.99 for 1000 anytime and no nights and weekends

49.99 for 1000 and unlimited nights and weekends

My question is can i come back on a 1 year contract? I have the Nokia 6102 on cingular and love it. Also does tmobile give corporate discounts like cingular and others do and if so how would i find out?
