1900 Mhz Office Penetration

I currently work for a large private university in Philadelphia. While I get great coverage through T-mobile almost everywhere, I can't seem to get anything while in my office. I've called up T-mobile and they said they'd look in to it. A few days later, I get a call back and they tell me that they tried to install a tower closer to my university (I guess I wans't the only one suffering if they were willing to put up another tower) but the university won't let them. ☚ī¸ *sigh*.

Anyone have any suggestions? This is what I've come up with so far...

1) I could switch to Cingular because the 850 towers in Philly seem to get the signal through. Two co-workers (who have Cingular) get 3-4 out of 5 bars easily at work while I get none.

2) I...

Funny Scenario

So...this guy calls in to cancel his service, so I ask for his reason why...

He's been with us since 1998 on a $9/month (yes 9...like nine) rate plan. It was a "state of utah employee" plan, and it wasn't even that great...45 minutes and 500 text messages. all the same though, he didn't use but that many.

He wanted to cancel because he quit working for the state of utah, and moved to ohio, and we wouldn't let him keep his plan if he changed his number to a local Ohio number.

I asked him if he had any other problems. He said "no man the service works great, I've had no problems with it, and I don't have any problems here (meaning ohio)"

So, I slowly repeated "so you want to cancel your service with us because you have a state of...

how is take control goin so far?

was wondering how the new take control rate plans were goin so far in the selected markets (austin, philly, boston). I'm sure the business has picked up. If T-mobile launches nationwide, especially where I'm at, T-Mo will see a drastic boost in subscribers.

T-Mobile Coverage Problems

Well I am having a dilemma at this point and I am wondering if someone can help me out. I have been a reader of this forum for sometime. I just moved from the Washington, DC area to the Boston area. I have been a T-Mobile customer since they were Voicestream/Omnipoint and I think Sprint Spectrum at one point. I have been a pretty loyal and good customer. I love gadgets and phones so I constantly end up buying new phones. One of the reasons I liked T-Mobile is for their customer service, GSM network when no one else had a GSM network and mainly ability to use my phone all over the world or at least the places I travel to. It is well known that T-Mobile coverage is the worst compared to the other providers, but that has not been that big of an...

AIM and TMobile

Has anyone one else had problems with AIM on TMobile this past month? I picked up an A630 and switched to TMobile because of my heavy AIM and text use but lately it's been horrible. I can't connect most of the time and now have to enter in my password each time I need to attempt a connection. Either my phone is having issues or TMobile is broken.

Vodafone Says Not a Good Time For It to Buy T-Mobile

"Vodafone Says Not a Good Time For It to Buy T-Mobile

The chief executive of Vodafone said he does not consider it a good time for his company to acquire T-Mobile USA considering it is the last of the four national U.S. competitors and it does not have a third generation mobile network. Deutsche Telekom, the parent company of T-Mobile, is expected to make a decision by the end of the year to either sell off the unit or spend approximately $10 billion launching 3G services. Pairing the T-Mobile Moto RAZR and Motorola HS820 headset possible?

My friend got her RAZR V3 from T-Mobile, and she just bought the Motorola HS820. She charged the bluetooth headset, but the V3 is saying "no device found" when we try to pair the phone and the bluetooth headset. Is something wrong with this phone or headset?

Treo 650

Everyone in my office, 12 colleagues, have all switched to the Treo 650 except me. I'm stuck with my 7100t but my patience is begining to wear a little thin. I might have to bite the bullet and move to another carrier. I know this is old news, but has anyone heard any news on T Mo coming out with the 650?
