Why is there such a thing as Nextel? WTF is Nextel? Do people really believe in it?

Does anyone know of a specific repeater for the i355/i570 to improve the phone service? I was told there were mutiple inexpensive repeaters, but all the prices I've received are over $1,600.

I have to lines on the account and the main line is supposed to be the one getting the messages from Sprint, like, collection notification etc. but its the 2nd line whos receiving it all. Any explanation to this? I call care, they said theres not much they can do.

My Sprint Rep told me I could have 25 groups of 25 users. I just tried loading my groups and it cut me off at 20!

Can I increase the group capacity to 25??

I'm looking to switch carriers. I had nextel before sprint bought them out and LOVED IT!! I ported out soon after sprint's purchase. I'm wondering if the quality of nextel's voice service is as good as it was before sprint's take over or has it diminished?

I have a friend that I've been traveling with a lot lately that has Sprint and I have Verizon. I've been thinking of switching to Sprint hence why I'm asking this question. When ever we were in areas of spotty coverage it seemed when my phone showed "extended network" his Sprint phone showed he was on the Sprint network and when ever my phone showed it was using the Verizon network his phone showed he was roaming.

So, do Sprint and Verizon roam on eachothers networks? If so, wouldn't that mean the coverage is the same on either provider?

Which one do you guys prefer and why? I am currently on the Nextel iDEN network, and I do not know whether to get new iDEN phones, or Qchat phones. I read that Sprint is selling the 800MHz spectrum to the gov, so I dont know if Nextel will continue anyway. But still, what are your thoughts? Thank you in advance!

I placed an order with Sprint through wirefly.com, however, I was contacted by Sprint the next day saying there was a problem and I may need a deposit. Ok, no big deal, I call customer service, sit on hold for 20 minutes, only to be told that, oh, there’s no problem, everything should be fine. The very next day, I am again contacted, stating the SAME thing, this time I call wirefly, and tell them 2 cancel the order, and I place one with Verizon, which goes quite smoothly.

My wife and I are Realtors in Portland Oregon, top notch coverage for us is an absolute MUST.

I had Sprint YEARS ago when I was traveling the country a lot, at that time they were the best for traveling as you could always rely on getting good signal at airports and in large cities. But in semi-rural and even some residential areas, forget about it . . . no signal.

Now being firmly planted in Portland Oregon we've found in the last few years that VZW has the best coverage, but their pricing is starting to wear on our nerves. We're looking at the all you can eat voice, data & text plans. VZW = $150/month each. Sprint is $100/month each...Quick $100/month savings but the question is COVERAGE.

I saw somewhere, on here I think that tmobile was allowing customers to add a line to their unlimited plans for like 40.00 a month. I am just curious if spring is doing anything like that or will be?

Is this a glitch or do all Sprint phones show messages this way? He find it annoying because he'll turn his phone off for a meeting, turn it back on to see (1) and call his VM to find he has 5/6/7... actual new messages (not to mention it doesn't show old).

I have a question. I have a friend who has a Nextel i760 phone and he is having problems with his signal, dropping calls etc..... I have a Verizon Wireless phone and I know I can call *228 to fix my signal problems. Can my friend do the same with his Nextel?

I have the i880 and whenever i try to forward text messages to people all the get is a blank message & my phone number. Is there something i need to change in my settings to fix this issue?

We recently had some contest or prize for making our goal selling accessories. For some dumb reason our boss got to go to some game and get spoiled because we hit our goal. Did the reps that actually made the goal and asked the customers for the sale get anything NO.
Just wondering if anyone else feels like their boss rips them off.

Our boss did not motivate us or come out and help us. He just sat in his office and did not even tell us about the contest until he said he was leaving early to go to the game.
