OK, I'm assuming everyone hear is a "true believer" who drank the cool-aid. I'll filter responses accordingly.

I have a Kyocera 6035. Love it, but it's on it's last legs. Carrier is Verizon Wireless; switching not really an option.

I need:
o Sync with Outlook (at home) and Exchange (at work)

That's about it.

Oh yeah, I never answer emails or surf the web with a phone. I use it as a phone and as a way to keep my two Outlook/Exchange dbs in sync.

So if I go with the 700P, turn off the wireless data, whadya think?

Is there bluetooth support for hotsync? I've heard it may be buggy. Any experience?

A guy i work with said he found a program that can boost his signal strength on his treo and that it actually works. He can't remember the name of the program though and I won't see him for a week (going on vacation).

Anyone heard of this program? If so, what is it called and where can you get it?

Every few months or so I do this dance in my head where I ponder dumping my VZW Razr and tMobile Blackberry for a VZW treo 650. I am back on this kick again.

My son had the 700w for a week, and my Windows prejudice aside for a moment, I was not impressed. My biggest issue is that when the phone was in data mode incoming calls went right to voice mail. This would not work for me. Secondarily, on my Blackberry I have 5 email accounts set up and checking/sending mail from any of them is pretty simple. This didn't seem to be the case at all with the 700w.

I am looking for user feedback of the 650 from Verizon users. What have your experiences been?

Hi everyone. I just picked up my treo 700p for verizon this past weekend. Love it!! I had the 650 a year ago with Cingular so I'm pretty familiar with the new unit and have had palm since the pilot 3.

My question deals with Messaging.

Seems whenever I send out a txt message, a few seconds later the phone plays the messaging alert to let me know the txt went through. Kinda annoying cause I think I'm getting an incoming message when I'm not. Does anyone know how to disable this or has this happened to anyone else?? I've looked at the preferences as well as sound prefs and nothing on it. Is it supposed to do that?? Anyone know what i'm talking about?? Please let me know. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

Is the only way to listen to MP3's on my Treo is to buy their stereo headset? I've tried the Jabra but its not stereo (sound out of only on earpiece). Someone out there has to know the answer. 😕

Can someone tell me if the Treo actually syncs with the exchange server? or does it truly require the pc monitor software with wireless sync? I have had my phone for over a year and have never been able to successfully add my phone profile to pc monitor as it always locks up or keeps saying "initializing account" but never does anything. Having said that, although it has never been added I still can get my exchange server email via my phone and wireless sync, it just works when it wants to and seems to send these wired coded messages to my exchange email whenever I sync. How can I finally make this work?

When I do a software upgrade I lose the favorites and programs in the phone.

Can a new software download be done without erasing favorites? I also have to reload any programs I had.

I have a very nice customer who purchased a Treo 650 from me. He is a lawyer and people are emailing him constantly. He purchased this device under the impression it would open and read PDF files. He states that in the manual it says it will work. Unfortunatly it doesnt. He along with multiple co-workers of his get an error whenever opening up a PDF file via VersaMail. I logged onto palms website and there was a post saying that users would have to convert the "Native PDF" file, into one the Treo would support. This post was made in 2004 though so Im not sure if they fixed this. Has anyone heard anything like this? Any help?

I have had a Treo 650 with Sprint since July of 2005 and have had some serious issues with it the past few days. My phone seems to have crashed. All the memory is gone, the phone book, any programs I had downloaded from Treo or Sprint, everything. It has been turning on and off by itself continuously and locking up. I cannot make or recieve calls or text and no one at the local Sprint store can give me any answers because they have not been trained on the phone. I called tech support and did a master reset. I am still having text and calling problems. The screen and keypad lights are not working either. I was advised to do an update and have the phone flashed. Neither have given me any answers. I have a Sprint Treo 600.

Started out fine. I have Snapper Mail. Recently, the phone continues to "reset" itself and turn the phone off. I can no longer do a "find" as the palm also "resets" itself. Can no longer open attachments. And SPRINT tells me it's a "software" problem, and they can't help me.
HELP.

Does anyone know if the new palm 700w for verizon will have the graffiti entry option or is the stylus simply a pointing device.

does anyone know if the text size can be made larger on the Treo 650? I have a customer interested in getting one, but she can't read it.

So I got an e-mail from plam saying that there is a new ROM update available for Cingular customers. It says it is version 1.17 but when I go to the website it says 1.15.... what gives? Did anyone get the new 1.17?
