LG Voyager VX-10000

so i ordered the phone by phone using the primary lines upgrade the lady said when i get it in the mail to call and agree to 2 year contract and then i can put my number onto the voyager so it never has to go on the primary lines number is that correct??!! 🤭

If I were to buy the Voyager at full retail in store, would the "15 (or however many) day return if I decide I don't want it" rule still apply? Im not sure if this only applies to phones that are purchased with a new agreement. Thanks for the help.

Me and my wife were the first ones standing in line on Wednesday, November 21st before 8:40 a.m. at the Bridgewater, NJ (Route 202) (store opens at 9 a.m.). When they finally opened up the doors, we were told that we would be the first to put our names on the list for the Voyager because the phones that were at the store and they were holding it for the people on the list. WHAT LIST? They were very persistant about not selling these phones to eligible verizon customers who are ready to upgrade. I believe the salesperson name is Sue. Why did they make us wait until 9:00 a.m. to tell us this nonsense about putting our names on the list. What happenned was this store was setting aside these phones for certain people. Can you use any music earphones to listen to music on the voyager or is there a specific verizon headset that needs to be purchased?

Has anyone experienced trouble installing the cd that came with the Voyager? I get a message saying "access violation" with a long address. Is this program available to install online if I can't get the cd to work?

I just bought a Voyager. I use my phone to access AOL e-mail. Never had a problem with my previous phone (LG ENV). On the Voyager, when I go to the browser and select AOL e-mail, over 50% of the time it says “opening” and then times out and reverts to the browser menu. I never get to the sign on screen. The other 40% it works fine. Sometimes, it will time out ten times in a row and then work fine ten times. If I select from the other menu choices–Yahoo mail, Gmail, etc.–it works 100% of the time. I called Verizon tech support and they were of no help and couldn’t explain why this is happening. I’m thinking of returning the phone. Before I do (I would love to solve this problem and keep it)–I was wondering...

As the topic states. Can you make your mp3's your ringtones on the phone? Iknow the new Razr can. I'm toying between that and the Voyager (have yet to mess around w/one in the store).

don't you think this is crazy 1.99$ per MB but your charges actually by KB that you d/l will it will add up over a month.Or use there premium plan where there is no charges for usage or Kb but paying big bucks up front for service. trust me Verizon doesn't make changes to the way you get billed if it wont increase your charges and once you change to there national plan there is no going back. I would really like to get this phone but having the interent and surfing anytime , anywhere you will have to dig deep into your wallets one way or the other

I want to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I don't hear it unless the room is quiet, but then I definitely hear it. It goes away when the screen goes dim or I flip it closed.

I'm new to using navigation and find it annoying that if you are using it and get an incoming call it closes down and you have to restart it again. Is there any way to answer a call and not have this happen? It sort of defeats the purpose of ever using navigation with a mobile phone.

since its all touch sensative .. do your fingerprints stay on the phone like lets say they did on the RAZR screen?

I think this is the one thing that is g2 reaalllllllllllllly bother me if I cant personalize my txt message sounds.

I can personalize ringtones but not text messages.

Is it hopeless?

What cases are people getting with their Voyager? Are you buying Verizon based products of their web-site? Also I see that Verizon offers a film cover that goes over the touch screen, has anyone applied this yet?

I know u can can teach LG words via typing in ABC mode then switching over to T9 and hitting space...HOWEVer somehow everytime i go o put a quote ( " ) symbol it pops up as "u aka a quote symbol with a U after it which is ANNOYING bc i have to clr out the U everytime i put a quote.

ANyone know how to unteach orfix this problem?

Alright... the Verizon servers don't allow most messages with an MP3/MID attachment through from an e-mail address anymore... and BitPim doesn't have the Voyager listed yet...


...so this was my solution.

Assuming that you have one of the new plans that allows unlimited text/pix messages (not that it matters, I think messaging yourself would be considered "IN messaging":

1. connect your phone to your computer by bluetooth


2. take your clip (I wouldn't recommend over 30 seconds per ringer) and drag'n'drop it on the OBEX File Transfer service. It should copy the clip right into your Sounds on the phone.

3. go to the My Sounds section under Get it Now > Music & Tones...

4. find the sound that you want as a ringer...
