LG Voyager VX-10000

But my keypad makes a small buzzing noise when it lights up. I tried adjusting the backlight on the internal screen thinking it was the problem cause I noticed the noise went away when the screen dimmed. But so does the keys, so when I turned off the backlight on the keys themselves it doesn't do that buzzing anymore. I'm just wondering if this is happening to anyone else and if there's an easy fix for it. It's really not an issue to just have the keypad backlight off, but still, I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. Other than that small issue, great phone, my favorite one yet. WHen typing a TXT message, anyone notice that when pressing "@" you get "." ? Software issue?

I am not receiving the inital txt alert most of the time. I get the beep reminder but not the alert tone. I went to technical support and they told me that it's because the keys are locked. They didn't bother to tell me that I can turn the auto-lock off but I found that on this forum after searching for an hour and a half. So I turned off the auto-lock but for some reason I am still only getting alerts sometimes. What am I doing wrong? I have not been able to find anyone else with this problem on the forum so it's either me or my particular phone. Can anyone help? 😡

PS. I HATE the fact that I can's assign personalized txt alert tones. I txt more then talk so this is really a nuisance. 😢

just got mine and i absolutely love it and everyone that complains are annoying people!! everything in life isnt perfect and the people that are like ohh im going to go buy the moto q9m its so slow and awful so have fun complaining about that one too!! Voyager people its greatttt!

Ok... just picked up a 2Gig micro sd... Can I watch my own mp4 or avi video files with the Voyager. I tried placing these type of videos in My_Flix & Media folders. Nothing shows up when I go to Get It Now... Videos... My Videos section. Thank you in advance for your help.

PS: listening to Music is great... but the only bad thing thing is you can't multi-task... Listen to music & read or reply back to text messaging ;(

Has anyone used VZWpix.com to transfer pictures to the Voyager? At the suggestion of Verizon, I tried it. I attached a picture to an e-mail and sent to my e-mail address@vzwpix.com. It worked very well one time and failed two other times. I'm wondering why it failed and how to correct this.

to be honest this is a great phone with fun features although some of those features are rather overpriced such as the vcast tv. I would have kept the phone but i tend to be hard on them and i could see this phone being broken very easily by me. I think i will instead go with the dumbed down env which is still a great phone. For all who purchased the voyager i hope you are happy with them and enjoy.

For some reason, I cannot make a decision on what to do with my new voyager. Sometimes it seems "okay" call quality but most times it's muffled and people just keep saying WHAT? I can't hear you, etc.

No one else is having this issue? I don't know what to do. I'm considering switching to the v9m or just putting my Motorola Q back on for now until something better comes out but I really like the voyager for all of its other features. I suppose though, if I can't get good call quality , what good is it?

Just curious to see if ANYONE else has experienced this.

I dont know if you all know about this 30 sec mp3 free music clip trick or not, but here it is. I can not take credit for this, I actually found it on another forum and think its worth spreading.
For free 30 sec mp3 music:
-Go to dogpile.com, Walmart.com,sounddogs.com, other free music, search under Music, do any kind of specific search like sound effects or broad search like rock.
-Click on any album and scroll down, walmart allows you to listen to 30 seconds of almost every song on every album.
-To listen first just left click on the side on the song where it says "mp3 audio" winamp will pop up and allow you to hear it.

I've noticed you cannot press the button on your stereo bluetooth headset and give a command while the music or video is on.

If you attempt to reconnect to your music or audio from the video, it won't let you, and you need to go into the bluetooth profile on the phone and reset the profile. 😡

Has anybody else noticed this?

The screen is amazing, very nice phone. I thought the TV was the dumbest idea but it even has a TV Guide! and the reception its just like a small tv hooked up to your cable. The internet its full HTML, you can get it for only 15$ plus the VCast without the TV. Very impressed so far. I was able to open my hotmail with no problem reminds me the times of dial-up but who cares i can take my cell phone anywhere!

Ok, so I'm using the voyager and as I was using the browser and camera, the phone freezes up and buttons don't work. It then turns off and on by itself. Has this happened to any of you?

I'm trying to format my SD card and it's asking me for lock code.
Anybody know that one?

I know bitpim has not added the Voyager yet, but i wanted to download the latest version that was available. I yahooed in Bitpim, and went to try and download it, but the link for it doesn't seem to work, can someone post a link where i might be able to download bitpim...please 🙂

I dont know which package to get for the phone. The Motorola package is nice, but it is a LG phone and the LG headset has a package as well....

Any info would be helpful.

whats the difference between- html (like hte voyager has) compared to internet explorer mobile (like the motorola q9m has)?

I waited for the Voyager to come out and really thought it was the phone for me. It just isn't what I thought. The unlock feature is so annoying that I am constantly missing calls. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

I seem to be one of the only people that do not like this phone and wish that I had stuck with my first instinct and bought the v9m! Hmmm....maybe I'll get used to it and grow to like it?

Is anyone on the "data pkg" for this phone? A verizon Rep said I would need this and it would solve some of the items I was trying to deal with. Just wondering if anyone has had first hand information...

Until I got the Voyager on Wednesday, I had been using the original V since it came out.. Does anyone know if there is a way to manage text alerts. On the old mobile web, there was a dedicated section on the menu. On the Voyager browser however, I can't find it. I liked having certain sports scores sent directly via text message with scoring updates. The ability to turn them off and on quickly was great. Aay help would be appreciated. Love this phone though...even better with the silicon cover
