Nokia 6682 / 6681

Anybody else play games on it? It runs great but I can't figure out how to turn down the volume (I believe it's the speaker volume)...there's no setting for that in profiles (though I've tried turning down the ringer volume in the profile and that has no effect). Anybody know of a way to adjust volume before or during the game...a symbian app or a macro, etc?

I found this site while googling yesterday and have emailed the guy for more information. He gave me a price of 189.99 for a brand new unlocked Nokia 6682. Unbelievable huh? He claims to be able to get almost any phone you want for a super low price. I've emailed him back for more info. Check it out and see what you think.

Anyone have experience with a card that does not format? It works as long as there is power to the MMC card. Once thats cut it returns corrupt when you power on again. Sigh. This one is not the phones fault, which is a good thing.

Got it today. Not as intuitive thought it would be, but I'm not completely familiar with Symbian. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SET MP3's AS RINGTONES. The 6620 wasn't able to, but my 6230 was... 😕 ANYONE??? Thanks in advance.

Did anyone ever try out the Audivox smt 5600? If so what did you guys think? For you nokia owners, would you ever trade in you 6682's for an Audiovox? Just wondering?

Hello everyone...how do you adjust the volume while playing a Java game? I've tried creating a different profile with the ringer volume turned down but that doesn't seem to have an effect on the game volume. It's so loud!

Hi everybody...I have the 6682. I was wondering why some Java games are offered for this phone but not others? I assume it's some sort of compatibility issue but I would think this phone would have the latest and greatest java version. Anybody know? Thanks

Got the phone yesterday. History log problem and the sim contacts but no crashes.

I'm using realplayer to watch videos ripped with magic real converter http://www.real-tool.com/
So far i got some 5 minute videos since I havent recieved the 512 card I ordered and I got a bunch of songs in there, from mpeg to rmvb (realvideo) it took a minute or two for the 5 ninutes of video at 1.7 meg. Not bad. A movie would take 80 meg or so...

Quality is not bad, for a phone.
According to the developer the limitations are
max bitrate 80kbps, video codec real video 8,
Max resize I got working 168x140
auto mode

ok i got a 512 mb card and need the softwares that come on the 64 mb card.. the only ones i cant find a download link to is voicesignal and wayfinder and i think infoprint is also on the mem card. i found Q and Adobe reader. can anyone help?

or should i just get a mem card reader and transfer all the file to PC then back to new 512 mb card?? thks

I would like this phone, but I am not able to carry a camera at work. Would it be possible to remove the camera from this phone? Either physically remove it (and not allow dust in) or unplug it permanently.

I don't have medianet and I remember reading on here that if you didn't have it you could accidentally push a button and it would connect you. Is there anyway to disable that? I don't want to be charged out the butt for accidentally connecting or doing something I wasn't intending to do. I tried to do a search on here but I couldn't find anything, and I tried the user manual but didn't really see anything in there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the unlimited data plan supposedly including EDGE with cingular. When I found my network status it only listed GPRS. when I asked my local cingular rep I was told that cingular has written EDGE into their GPRS and therefore are one and the same. my on-line speed is usually 25Kbs and 40Kbs on my 6682 when I have a good signal. web sites seem to load slow. was the rep blowing smoke or am I expecting to much

The 'Think Outside' website has 6680 drivers, but no 6682. (http://www.thinkoutside.com). Will this device work w/ the 6682? Any real-user experience?

Using the Opera browser, I can not login to any Yahoo page.

I was logged in, purchased a Yahoo Fantasy NBA add-on, when it didn't work, I cleared cache and cookie and now can't get logged in at all.

I can login with the built in browser.

Anyony want to try logging out to see if they can get back in?

I sometimes get the error when attempting to open another program. I only way I have figured out to close them without turning off the phone is to open the memory door. Is there a program I can install that will tell me what programs are open and I can selectivly close them. As well as being able to jump between them?
