Nokia 6682 / 6681

i returned my 6682 for an exchange with another 6682. (letstalk.com)

but today i checked their web page and it is backordered with ETA of Oct 21.

I was curious, maybe cingular might be fixing the phones and maybe thats why it s gonna take a while to restock the phone.

i hope after such a long wait, the new phone wont have any problems,,

Can anyone tell me if the keypad on the new Nokia 6682? I've had mine for 5 days & just realized my keypad isn't lighting up.

Did anybody purchased a carrying case for their 6682?

any recommendations would be appreciated

Looks like it only reads ID3v1 tags. All the songs I ripped through iTunes are usless. It rips to ID3v2. It just displays the file name.

It will pause the song when a call comes in, but I can't figure out how to make it start again by itself.

The sound quality is top notch. I tried MP3Go, but it doesn't play AAC and the sound quality SUCKS!!!

Am I totally just missing it, or how do you delete a mailbox?

I have read everyone's comments and the one thing that concerns me is people are saying the rear cover is a bit flimsy/wonky.
Anyone have that problem or know the trick to tighten it up?

is this phone really as good as every body says it is. I have never had a nokia phone befor as well as never have had a bar phone either. I think this is nice but same with the s710a. andvice for this phone or the s710a would be great thanks.

I did the hard reset, made a call then powered my phone off for about 1 minute then back on..it was still in logs and didn't ask copy SIM contacts either..don't know if it will continue, but we shall see...

has anyone had problems with unlocking this phone?

Well like some of you on here that I have had issues with call logs being lost and copying sim contatct over and over. I also had a problem with my bluetooth headset not working properly. After spending an hour on the phone with customer service and tech support at Nokia, I now have not had any of these issues. It was all to simple of a fix. They had me back up the data on the phone to my computer and gave me a code to type in that completely reset the phone, and that was it. They said that if this didn't work I would have to send in the phone to get serviced, but it didn't have to go that far. I have never been happier with a phone.

I got my Nokia 6682 and have successfully paired it with my 04 Acura TL's Hands Free Link (HFL).

I can make a call, but when I hang up the HFL/BT connection dies and I am unable to reconnect.

thinking this is a firmware issue as the previous 4 phones I have paired with my acura have all worked perfectly.

PS - how do you find your firmware level on a nokia?

i read a lot of reviews on gsmarena.com for 6681 having problems with 3.0 version.

does this phone use MMC or dual voltage? according to this site it takes both but reading peoples comments it does not seem that way so which is true?

Well this phone has a few more features but it costs a little more (around $310 with 2 year)
and the sony has most of the features and a better screen. I would go strait for the sony if it wasn't almost a year old so now i just don't know. So do i savve some money and get the one that will get old sooner or do i spring for the phone with a few more features and a more distant "expiration date"?

When you are connected to your heaset and place a call using the keypad to dial a # or the nav pad to scroll to a contact, then press send, can you lock the keypad?

I can't figure out how.

I will soon probably be replacing my beloved Nokia 6620 ☹️ it is wearing out...I have saved all my pictures to a cd ( my comp has a cd burner ) I was wondering is there anyway to save videos also. If it requires a dvd burner I am afraid I am out of luck...any help?
