Found One

I hope I don't get yelled at for starting a new thread, BUT, I found a friend of mine who is a Cingular rep in Tennessee, and she found a 32k sim card at her store. She told me to mail her the one I have that doesn't work and when she gets it, she can put it in her inventory and mail me a new one. I should have it within a week. I am, once again, very happy

Solution??

Ok guys, POSSIBLY I have discovered what is causing the glitches in our phone. I need to know, for us that are having problems with call logs/copy contacts - what kind of sim card do you have. Is it 64k or 32k. Also, mrdeth would you check yours? I believe you said you phone has no glitches in it, correct?

Microphone sensitivity

Is there a way to adjust microphone volume/sensitivity? Several times I have called people that told me I was breaking up on them. I was getting good reception and they were coming in clearly. When I went to a quieter room (or closed the car windows) then they told me I sounded fine. If there was a way to adjust sensitivity, I might be able to fix the problem.

Got my phone today...

I accidentally ordered an unlocked 6681 instead of the 6682 thinking I was getting a jump on Cingular's PTT service soon to come. Not being very cell knowledgable I soon learned that this phone was designed for out of country use. 900/1800/1900 mhz. I got the same answer from everyone, including Cingular-that the phone will be useless with their service along with its PTT feature. I was advised to refuse the shipment, but I just couldn't resist seeing what all the fuss was about this phone. My past 2 phones were the Moto V180 and the V220, so you can imagine my amazement when I powered that thing up. I decided to pop in my Sim card and see what happens. Would you believe the damn phone works beautifully?!?! I've never had clearer rece...

Psiloc miniGPS

I downloaded the trail version today, the one that also comes with Extended Profiles.

Doesn't seem seem to be working very well. It's recognizing my logged cels, but not performing the events associated with those cels. And where extended profiles seemed to be working, later in the day it kept switching from my created Office profile to Normal.

Anyone used either app with any success ? This phone or other. Maybe I will try it on my 6620.

6682 Security/Lock Code Question

For some reason, my 6682's security and pin code came pre-set it seems to another number besides the default # stated in the owners manual. I tried changing the security code on the phone and it asked for the lock code so I entered 1,2,3,4,5 like the manual says, then it asked for the new code so I put in a 5 digit number and it asked to enter it in again so I did and it says Code Error! I tried this several times but it still wouldn't accept any code I tried putting in. I can't reset the phone settings because I can't change the security code on the stupid phone lol. As for the 4 digit pin code, it wouldn't let me change it until it finally asked for the PUK code which I called cingy tech support for and put that in then I could change the ...

Backup

Just a friendly reminder not to forget to back up your phone from time to time, if you've made changes to it. I back mine up about once a week.
