I dont really care about NASCAR

but I think its hilarious that Jeff Burton is going to race with nothing on his hood. NASCAR made the team take the AT&T globe off the hood and the team cant wear anything that says AT&T on it. Score one for Sprint.

8830 in europe

Does anyone have any experience using it with a european sim? Can you use GPRS on the phone with another sim? I would prefer sprint over verizon, but I wonder how I could get email in europe (or bberry), without extending my contract every time I travel to sign up for the international bb plan. Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

Katana DLX extended battery question

I haven't placed my order yet as waiting for contract to end with Verizon Wireless.

I know the Katana DLX is thicker at the top than the bottom.

So with the extended battery and cover will it be even top to bottom or will the bottom be thicker than the top?

Thanks for your help!!

New Phones!

I will be switching to sprint and would like to know what new phones will be coming out like any samsungs or sanyos. I know there will be a sanyo m2 and an update to the m610 samsung. Will there be anything besides these phones that are not pda? It would be appreciated if you have any links or dates for the releases.
Thank You, jmoney

SERO timeframe

Anyone who has actually ordered from SERO, can you verify the shipping time for me? I'm hoping not more than a few musiness days, because I'm going to port a number, and don't wanna be without a phone for too long.

Coverage/Service

I want to switch to sprint, but I would like to know how the reception/call quality is in southeastern Michigan (farmington hills). Does anyone live in this area that could tell me how the quality is here?
Thanks, jmoney

This would be great...

From RCR Wireless:

Finally, Adriano said there’s a “project in process” that will allow customers to move their phone number across various handsets via a Web site. Adriano described the service as “Treo for the week, Upstage for the weekend,” but declined to say when the service would be available. He did say however that it is “a high priority.”

Such a service would put Sprint Nextel alongside GSM carriers such as AT&T Mobility and T-Mobile USA Inc., which rely on SIM cards to recognize subscribers. Since SIM cards are removable, GSM subscribers are generally able to move their service among a variety of cellphones.

I would love to be able to do this, I don't really like lugging my Treo around on the w...

Question i doubt can be answered by the Tech guys...

Hey i have a question i cant get a good answer to. My cousin has Sprint, and was told about the Mobile Broadband service. they said we can purchase a Linksys Wireless G router for a retail price of $249.99, but the only card that works with this is the S720 aircard. The rep seemed VERY knowledgeable on this stuff, but i just need to know for sure. He said alllll this stuff how you can connect up to 4 computers thru the ethernet cables, 128-bit encryption technology, 802.11g connectivity. I was REAL surprised by this guy, hes just a sales agent but i dont know what any of this stuff means lol
But my question is, what routers are available to purchase and what cards are compatible with them? Thanks a million, i cant seem to find an answer any...

Sprint Backwards.

Sprint altogether stinks. When I cancelled with them, they double billed me an etf. I had to call and get into a terse conversation with a membe rof management. Notice that I said I was billed the etf. I paid the etf to get away from them. I never had any problem on my bill until all of the sudden I started being charged for my mobile to mobile calls.

Actually, now that I think about it, a rep told me I had unlimited messaging. This was before I had two way messaging so I had to sign onto the internet to text. I ended up with a 300 dollar bill because no one told me that I would be billed airtime.

Sprint stinks. Now they are making matters worse by increasing the sms prices again. I think that move hurt alot of carriers at the beginni...
