A petite woman enters our unusually busy Sprint store three minutes before we close. Virtually ignoring the other patrons in the store she very impatiently and abruptly walks up to one of my fellow associates who is in the process of a transfer of liability for another group of loyal Sprint customers. Mind you that we have been dealing with our systems crashing over and over again due to the upgrades performed this past weekend. who in their right mind thinks that any mall store would be a service center? you come to a mall to shop not to get a phone repaired.

a woman just came in yelling at me saying how we should repair her phone because we are a store. and that we should tell people that we are not a service center. all i can say is that we say that every day to every customer. plus she was trying to fix a boost phone. just shell out the $59.99 and buy a new one, they are cheaper than any nextel at retail cost.

I see a lot of people talking about PRL updates "loading in all the new towers that have been built" and things such as that.

PRLs do nothing of the sort. Every tower in the US is associated with an SID. A SID is the identifying number of a particular city on a particular carrier. Lets say youre in Chicago, Verizon has a SID, sprint has a SID, cingular has one, etc. etc. Any new towers that go up in the limits of Chicago are automatically assigned to that SID. Your phone picks them up, because they broadcast, it doesnt need to be "told they're there".

The ONLY (yes, ONLY) thing a PRL does is assign a hierarchy of importance to all carriers in an area. Using chicago again, if youre on sprint, of course sprint would be number one, m...

After 4 years of drooping sprint, i signed up for service again and have been fairly happy. I had to call Customer service (Call 1) on Wed because they forgot to add the unlimited messaging to my plan. The rep was very friendly and she fixed it and that was great... Wed night tried to setup voicemail outgoing message and it kept saying I had to call from my wireless handset which i was. Then i noticed my phone number was programed wrong on my phone. Called CC (call 2). The guy was very nice, took 10 mins hold time, 30 seconds to fix the problem and Done. I just started working for sprint. I used to work for another carrier so I went in with a pretty good handle on the cellular world. Now where I came from customer service was number 1. Tell me why at sprint they are totally unwilling to help their customers??????? They make you pay for EVERYTHING and cut their faithful customers NO slack on anything. Tell me why it costs 5 dollars to pay a bill in the store. How fu**ing retarded is that! I just don't understand how they have a customer base!

But I guess ppl like them.. so I will continue to make money off of sprint ripping their customers off!

Hey does anyone know how to view Myspace backgrounds on the Mogul? I've done it before i know i have....any help is greatly appreciated! 😁

I've been having customers coming in that are complaining about their service lately. One guy in particular said that he just added two lines to his account on the 30th and since he's been dropping calls where he never did before.

So the question is, can account modifications affect the signal of the handset?

I know this sounds odd, and if I didn't know better I would say no right away and that signal is determined strictly on the phone's antenna, battery, ect. But lately I've had alot of complaints, even from my family.

So if anyone on the technical side of Sprint knows, please inform me and tell me how to fix it so I can better serve my clients. Thanks, -Drake

Hey I also found a way to view someones Myspace page. The way i do it at least without any kinda download is i view the page, after the page is fully loaded up I click:

>>>Click Desktop

----It looks better if you click and hold down, and click Full Screen.

I'm currently using verizon and ported to ATT for the iphone, yikes what a mistake. I don't know if its just a GSM thing or what but the call clarity was horrible.

Anyways I still want to get away from verizon I dislike their verizon ui because it sucks all the fun out of getting a new phone. I want a multimedia phone with the ability to get online and I'm considering the katana dlx. I really don't know much about sprint could someone give me none kookaid breakdown I would greatly appreciate it. All you get on the verizon forum our kookaid responses.

Also will the 15 vision package work with the dlx, and what will the 15 bucks buy?

I'm seeing a lot of bad press about sprint recently too, including this forum, should I be worried?

Hey all,

I have a Treo 700p and my internet connection is crap... I compared it to an iPhone the other day and the iPhone actually beat my Treo in download speeds (and yes, I live in an EV-DO area--I live in Detroit and have also used it in Chicago with the same results.)

I did a 1 MB mobile speed test on dslreports.com last night and this is what I got:

80 kbit/sec
.65s latency
102.074s d/l time

Is this normal, or do I need to have it checked out? I just hate going into the Sprint Store, having to wait 45 minutes for someone to look at me, then drop my phone off for the day, then spend another 30 minutes getting it back to be told there's nothing wrong...
