Have you ever noticed.....

Has anyone spent anytime in the AT&T forum and read what people talk about in there. Alltel commercials have a great representation of AT&T a whiny group of people. They seem like they are way to into there job and fall in love with every phone that is made there. If only the employees could marry there company and the products it sells. It is nice to see that Sprint employees and Customers don't try to protect there products like someone is bashing their significant others. That is why Sprint is so great. 🤣

sprint vs at&t

I am a lil confused. I have read articles stating that sprint network was faster than at&t. I was wondering is this true? I know that at&t coverage is better than sprint. I had sprint for 5.5 years and recently this year went to at&t. I always have signal and have yet to drop a call. But I am interested in the new Katana DLX sprint is getting and the blackberry curve from at&t. I also heard that sprint network changed or something... is this correct also? What is new with sprint? thanks guys!!!!

SPRINT NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE

I was at the John Mayer concert yesterday and the concert was sponsored by the Blackberry Curve. I wanted to check out the phone and let me tell you I was impressed. I have waited to buy a PDA phone until Sprint had a decent one in the lineup, however, after looking at the "same old, same old" I decided I may pay out my contract and switch. I am not real happy about it as I have been with sprint since 1998 when they launched in Cincinnati. Anyone know if Sprint will be getting this phone?? I am not interested in the ultra bulky new new PDAs that sprint currently has on the market. Sprint will need to step up to the plate or they will keep up with the current trends. They continue to modify lower end phones and hold on to old models. Without ...

Farewell

Today I bid adieu to the cellular industry, if only for a brief interim. Surprisingly, for all my bitching and complaining, this has been one of the most interesting and fulfilling jobs that I've had in my working career. I give props to my dear friend and fellow forum member coziamnumber1 for introducing me to and getting me started in this industry. It is he who allowed my cellphone "whorism" to flourish, but the gods have spoken and the dawn of a new era for me is rising.

I've learned many interesting things and made numerous friends along the way and would like to thank those of you on this forum for sharing stories, info, and laughs. I depart the cellular industry to embark upon a career in the cable industry. I won't disappear from...

8830 on Sprint will be SIM LOCKED!

Although various news releases and Sprint's own website (see full posting below) says a major feature will be that the phone will be unlocked so you can use cheap prepaids when roaming internationally - this is NOT the case. Immediately below is a repsonse from CS at Sprint.
Being as I travel overseas, this would have been a great phone and feature. This does nothing to encourage the GSM users (T-M and ATT) to even consider switching to SPCS. GSM carriers will unlock almost all phones for their customers.

======

Email from SPCS on 6/19:

We do apologize for that information listed. That is the generic information being sent out for that device for all carriers. This device for Sprint is actually sim-locked. If you have any f...

phones

Any nice camera phones coming to sprint soon? I was on the website today and didn't see much of anything worth having. Just a nice flip with a good camera would be awesome.

The only thing that look 1/2 way decent is the Moto K1...but i'm not a fan of moto.

Any news?

Oh, and I also noticed that the Sero page has changed. I do have a "true" family referral that I will be getting...so who will be selling me my phone? The website tells you to call a 1-800 number, etc. Any details on that? Do they possibly have any M1's to sell me? he he

Is insurance/ total equipment protection generally worth it?

I got talked into buying the insurance ($7.50 a month, I believe) when I bought my LG LX350 and renewed my contract last year. The literature on the plan wasn't very user friendly. It looked like Sprint had nothing to do with it -- I had to send the phone away indefinitely AND pay a $50 deductible if anything ever went wront with it. (I've actually tried to cancel the plan a couple of times, both online and by calling CS, but it never seens to "take," lol.) Anyway, a few months ago the phone broke clean in two. After reading the insurance plan, I was ready to just go in and buy a new phone rather than spend $50 AND be without my phone for a couple of weeks waiting for a repair or (possibly inferior) replacement; but when I went in to my...
