Help! Faster way to port your number?

Does anyone know a number to expedite a port request on a business line? My cousin just got his new phone and is porting from Cingular, but the rep said an "estimated" port date is July 18 at 12:43 P.M.
he already received the phone, but thats 5 days of waiting! Anyone know how to make it go any faster of a number to call in to port it in automatically? Cingular is wanting to re-new his contract but the port is already is request! Please someone help!!! Thanks in advance and have a blessed day 🙂

and asked that since i have been eating there since i was 5 if they would give me a loyalty discount off my cheeseburger, ao after figuring that i at least needed $.03 to $.04 off per year that i was a loyal customer that would make the burger $.80 off making it $.20, they laughed and kicked me out. Someone Really does not like sprint

Sprint got a new marketing agency, and they were off to a great start. The UpStage TV ads that we've posted were excellent. In fact, they went after some of the key flaws with Sprint marketing. For years Sprint has failed at marketing in so many ways, it's hard to keep track. From the Brian Baker "Sprint Guy" era, to Nextel's terrible advertising agency... things always were far from perfect. While the Sprint Guy style of marketing gave a human face to Sprint, it failed at delivering timely announcements of new features, and competitive advantage.

Nextel's ad agency failed even worse. With Nextel they were able to tout how all phones featured GPS navigation, Direct Connect plans, and thing...

You know what i hate? BUSINESS FRAUD CUSTOMERS..!!!!

I HATE those punks calling in to set up "Business accounts" Those bastards are ALWAYS in the same damn cities: Atlanta GA; Bronx NY; Houston TX; Philadelphia PA; Chicago IL; Boston MA and a few others...these bums are always callin in, stealing poor LEGITAMATE business' tax I.D. #'s and trying to open up 50 lines of service with nothing but pure Treos, Moto Q's and PPC's and all billed to the account. The idiots sound way under-educated. They 4 realz sound like crack addicts and heavy smokers. Its funny cuz they claim their "business" is located an suite or building but when you validate the address it comes up an apartment. (What kind of legitamate business would have an apartment as their business location?) it pisses me off...im glad thou...

Sprint 'fires' customers; is this true?

This may have been mentioned a dozen times if this is true, but I read this from msn.com. Man, I sure wish Cingular would've done then back when I was a rep:

Sprint to 1,000 customers: You're fired

The cell-phone company cans some of its customers for complaining too much. Told 'we are unable to meet your current wireless needs,' they have a month to find a new provider.

Sprint Nextel is hanging up on 1,000 of its cell-phone subscribers because, the company said, they complained too much.

Sprint Nextel (S, news, msgs), which ranked at the top of MSN Money's Customer Service Hall of Shame in April, apparently didn't appreciate when people called their customer-service lines to voice complaints, The Wall Street Journal reported S...

International Calling Plans

Hey guys, I have been recieving mixed answers from customer care on this, so I thought I'd ask here.

If a person has International Calling on their plan (lets use the Mexico calling package as the example), How does this effect their anytime minutes?

For example, on the mexico calling plan, if a person calls after 7pm to a border city, does it come off of anytime minutes?

Most answers from customer care reps, is no, it doesn't. However a few people have told me that they have gone over their any time minutes because of this, and customer care reps have told them that even if they call after 7pm, they are still using anytime minutes.

Can anyone state for a fact one way or another?

Treo 700p Software Update

Ok, so this update has screwed with my 700p. Has anyone else done the update? I have found little help from Palm and Sprint knows nothing about the update. The update is basically causing my phone to attempt to re-connect to power vision every 15 minutes. There are several issues but that one is the most annoying. Does anyone have any ideas to correct this issue?

Is SERO Legit?

With all this news about Sprint canceling customers, some said that it might be due to some SERO plans since most of the customers were complaining about billing. I was wondering if SERO is legit? I was with sprint for 5.5 years and I have never heard of it until I came into the phonescoop forums. I only had a few billing issues with sprint when I was with them. I was looking to coming back to get the Katana DLX. I was wondering if I would be better off getting a regular plan instead of a SERO plan. Thanks 🙂

Moto Rokr Z6M

Ok, so by the looks of it, Sprint is getting the Z6M. I checked out the specs of both, and it looks like the Z6M is a little worse than the Z6 in built in memory and screen colors. Is this a mess up, or is it right?

Taking the baby off the nipple..

I use this subject line in reference to Sprint letting "complaining customers" go. I find this to be a very bold move on there part, but effective none the less. At some point, in a babys life the nursing mother must take the baby off the nipple so to speak, and that is what sprint has done in this case. These customers that have been calling time and time again, have had there issues resolved on numerous occasions, and yet still find someway to continually have the same issues....come on.. these customers know how to manipulate the system, and continually try to milk the system. sometimes you just have to cut your losses when doing business, sprint is losing money on these customers, they are probably paying more to maintain these customer...

FYI

as a customer service supervisor i feel that alot of us that do our jobs properly get a bad rep even though we are awesome! i hate, HATE bending over backwards for the customer ( literally ) and them STILL not being satisfied. what ever happened to appreciating things in life that are done for you? & i am not talking about just fixing your issue. more than often i will also throw in additional things to make ( or at least try ) them feel like we really do appreciate their business and to help them try to feel better about whatever situation it was/ is that they have called about. i know it comes with the territory of working in customer service, but PLEASE for the LOVE OF everything that is good and right DO NOT CURSE ME OUT.... and then wh...

Sometimes I wonder about Sprint!

Just had a customer, 2 1/2 weeks from upgrade date. Phone is dead. Shows no damage. I can only offer 75 dollars off. Called sprint CS about a 75 credit on bill. Sprint says no.

Customer has 4 lines, pays bill on time. Custy still would pay over 175 dollars for new phone in store.

Now custy has to wait until 8/1 to upgrade. Upgrade price is free for same phone. Lets see. Customer willing to pay 175 out the door with 75 dollar credit on bill. Making phone cost 100 dollars. Now custy waits 2 weeks and gets it for free after rebates. I told custy to get old phone from friend/family for 2 weeks and come back costing sprint 100 dollars.

I understand rules, don't get me wrong. But what about common sense?

New LG Touchscreen phone LG KU990

any one with any info..? US availability..? which carrier..?

Article pics..

"It looks like LG is getting set to release a new Prada-esque keypad-less phone, with its hereto unheard of KU990 model recently landing in the hands of the folks at Clipset.net. Apparently, this is one of the forthcoming YouTube-enabled handsets recently mentioned by the company, meaning that it'll not only be able to play YouTube videos but let users submit videos to the site straight from the phone as well. Otherwise, the phone's big selling points are its ample 5-megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity, not to mention its sizeable 3-inch touchscreen. Rounding out the specs, you'll get a built-in FM radio, MP3 player, microSD card slot, and an array of pre-l...
