WiMax vs HSDPA

Given the upgradability of HSDPA, which one is faster? As fas as speed, I think HSDPA has the advantage, but is so, why is WiMAX considered 4G if it is slower?

Can I bluetooth an mp3 from my PC and use as a ringtone?

Can I use USB bluetooth connection and bluetooth an mp3 from my pc to my Sanyo M1 and use that song as a ringtone on the handset? Or am I stuck having to get the $15.00 data pack and then paying $1.99 for a ringtone from Sprint.com?

Boost in Sprint sales?

Has any of you multi-carrier caompanies noticed a boost in Sprint Sales? Or even Sprint exclusive stores?

Verizon has gone way down for us and Sprint is literally sky-rocketing. What gives?

Sprint TV Issues??

I thought that Sprint changed/updated the Sprint TV channels on 4/1/07 to give people with the power vision access pack access to CNN, Fox Sports, The Weather Channel, etc.?

Does anyone know if they are having issues or if you need to do something to get these?

Moto Q, Treo 755, or PPC 6800

i'm ready to dive into the smartphone market (even though the Treo will be running Palm OS) and want to seek guidance. my major concerns are syncing between phone and laptop with all aspects of Outlook. i use Outlook as a full database management system, and cannot afford to have missing information. how reliable is the wireless sync between phone and laptop? anyhow, was seeking input from the masters on which model to get, and if it's worth waiting for.

possible upstage backlighting issue

i just had a manager from another store email me (and the rest of the district) saying that he has had two upstage phones that have a backlighting issue where the backlight does not go out for as long as 8 minutes with no applications running. has anyone run into this issue yet? i personally have not, but i wanted to get nationwide feedback on this issue.

Do free nights and weekends start at 7p, or don't they?

My best friend has Sprint, has for two years, just renewed (after her phone was stolen and it took hours to get someone on the line to suspend it :rollπŸ™‚, never misses a payment, calls customer care maybe twice a year. She has the 450 anytime minute plan with free n&w at 7p, and averages about 250-350 (daytime) minutes of use/month, if that. She gets a bill for $185, mostly in overages. On the bill, one call began at 6:30PM and lasted 50 minutes. She was charged with 50 daytime minutes for that call. There are several calls like this on her bill. So, since Sprint's free n&w begin at 7p, shouldn't the 20 minutes beginning at 7p be free? What gives? Do free nights and weekends start at 7p, or don't they? πŸ˜•

Sprint ? Why KDDI too ? Shouldnt we focus on our Churn or Bad Call Center Service first ?

It seems like Sprint bites more then it can chew, Instead of venturing with other companies, we should first fix whats wrong with ours,
Our Churn is OUTRAGOUS !! for every 3 activations we do we lose about 2 existing customers. a lot of this is due to our terrible call center customer service and horrid billing.

I think we are golden but we dont fix what is wrong with us.

We turned Nextel (At the time the MOST profitable US carrier) Into a a side company that barely produces and now has almost 4 times the churn rate.

We laid off 5000 employees and still have hour long + wait times on customer service, and billing issues up the wazzu.

I love Sprint dont get me wrong, But we HAVE to focus on us right now, not seeing how far we can...

Will WiMax give Sprint the edge on Verizon and Cingular?

Reference WiMax in Chicago aritcle in the Chicago Tribune 4/12/2007 - Sorry fellows I don't have the link. For you Sprint employees you can find it on Connected. The article goes into detail about how Wimax could change the industry in a fashion similiar to the switch from landline phone services to wireless phone services only in this case with mobile data. The article suggests that many consumers would be willing to switch from their current internet providers to Sprint's WiMax if the speeds were similiar, the pricing competitive, and they were able to go mobile. Since there is not another company out there with anything in the pipeline that compares to Sprints WiMax, does WiMax give Sprint a much needed edge over Verizon and Cingular, spe...
