Far to many negative overtones about Sprint out there !

🙄 If yah really think they are that bad, then dump them for crying out loud 🙄

I am reading so many "negative waves" about Sprint and people really need to get a life.

I joined Sprint for going on 5-months now and have been extremely pleased with the quality of the RF and the crystal clear voice fidelity.
I have absolutely no issues with CSR's (had to make two inquiries on billing and rebate plan) and they helped me immediately.

My new RAZR V3M (see review I just posted) is excellent and is everything I had hoped it would be.

What I did find as "lame" were the Sprint dealer stores (sold other carriers as well). They were more interested in making a sale than trying to serve me and answer my specific questions on Spri...

Sprint Gives Away GPS Software (And How to Get It)
Written by Christopher Price
Wednesday, 21 March 2007
Sprint today announced Sprint Navigator, essentially a Sprint-branded version of TeleNav's existing GPS navigation software. Sprint Navigator will be available for purchase and download in early April, and includes TeleNav Traffic for live traffic and incident redirection. At the same time, Sprint has announced new free and low-cost pricing options to gain access to Sprint Navigator.

Any customer who has a Power Vision pack of $25 or greater (Ultimate & Business packs) will automatically receive Sprint Navigator for free. It will be automatically placed in your Content Manage...

Troubleshooting Treo 700 w

I'm having problems with the time functionality and the bluetooth on my treo 700 windows version. Since the daylight savings change, my phone switches the time on me every time I make a phone call. I don't know if I am missing a setting or what the deal is. Any help would be appreciated. Also my bluetooth is acting up as well. Every once in a while, my headset will not be able to find the device. I'm hoping this isn't a defective phone so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.

Sprint Employees Bashing Motorola

My wife and I are current sprint customers (past 4 years). We went to 2 different sprint stores this weekend and the sales rep at each one essentially told us not to buy any phones from the Motorola line. They didn't give any specific reason other than that the RAZR, KRZR, etc. were buggy and unreliable.

I've read through the RAZR and KRZR reviews here on phonescoop, but since the reviews are from all users of Motorola on all carriers its difficult to get a straight answer.

I like the feel of the RAZR & KRZR and want to get one, but not if 4 months from now I'll be having problems. We prefer to stay with Sprint due to other family members on sprint and can essentially call them for free (PCS to PCS).

Anyone care to share s...

Just beep please...

What happened to my ring tones? From the mid 1990's to about 2002 every cell phone I owned had one thing in common, choice of ring tones. There were a lot of ringers to choose from.

When I say ring tone I mean a "RING" tone, not the latest rap song, pop song, classical music, rock song, belching noise etc...

My current LG LX550 has only two "rings" and the rest is music. If I look for rings on Sprint.com I can't find any there either. Third party sites? I found none there?

Now some cell phone manufacturers have more ringers than others. Motorola models seem to have the most but I don't like the typical Motorola user interface. As a whole I've seen a steady decline in alerts, rings & beeps and a serious increase in music for rings....

Looking for something better

I currently am using the LG Fusic and it has been the best phone that I have had in well forever. The only problem is is that I'm getting bored with it and would like to get something newer with the ability to get email, have mp3. I can't decide what I want because in my personal opinion nothing comes close to the fusic. Any Ideas?

Sanyo 7050 GPS

Guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that the pic of an flip-opened 7050 that is going around is FAKE. The screen part of it is fake.

Also, this phone can be used as a stand-alone GPS receiver via Bluetooth/USB with your GPS apps. It will output GPS logs using NMEA protocol.

EV-DO Coverage map question

There are several new cellphone sites that are coming to my area for Sprint EV-DO Rev. A, which is being added to existing Nextel iDEN towers, and i'm looking into giving Sprint a try and seeing how the service works. Anyway, after checking the Sprint Business website, here's the link: http://www.sprint.com/business/products/produ cts/evdoCoverage2.jsp?map=Pittsburgh_PA&mrkt= Pittsburgh,%20Pa

It appears that the brown shaded areas is EV-DO Rev. A coverage, so if this is the case, the coverage does exist. Though the maps do not read the same as the actual coverage maps on the regular Sprint website, it still says there coverage coming within 120 days. I wasn't sure how updated the coverage maps are, if we have the coverage now, like the link...

EVDO in Fort Wayne, IN Q4 says IPCS

I was at an IPCS meeting for all of the sprint affiliates and IPCS rep said Q4 Fort Wayne, IN would be banging out EVDO 😳 it was about time. The rep said 8 new towers were being put up and the other towers were going to be outfited with EVDO or what ever. Just wanted to give a heads up.

To Junglemassive--- Katana II Question

Hi Jungle,

You were kind enough to answer the possible launch date on Katana II for me, thank you. I was wondering if you had any information on what kind of upgrades this version will have. I will be leaving Verizon soon and am doing research on Sprint phones. I like the Katana's style however the camera and memory are sub-par and was hoping the new version will have better features.

Thanks in advance for any in sight you can offer, take care. 🙂
