anyone hear anything about usc getting a newer model of the blackberry? particularly the bold or the new curve? i've had the pearl since it came out in january but hopefully someone in my family's contract will end soon and i can get a new bb. thanks for the help!

is there any new motorolas coming out soon, and why are they discontinuing all of them.

So i asked this question once before and got absolutely no help. Up until like April of last year, I went to this website that was like the Engadget Mobile of US Cellular. It was awesome. They covered speculation, rumors, leaks, releases, and lots of other US Cellular news too. Then, the site went down with a note saying that their computers were broken and that they would be back up shortly. It never came back..... So my question is: What happened to it??? That website was so well put together and was so useful that I just can't imagine somebody just not keeping up with it anymore. It was so useful and helpful and sometimes I really miss having it there.

My mom got a new phone with her wireless provider ATT recently which got me thinking about US Cellular. She told me that the sales rep with them told her that she would be able to begin enjoying 3g in 3-4 months here. So, I was wondering, for those of you out there in the Midwest, where US Cellular is more prominent then anywhere else, how is the EVDO expansion coming along. I heard they have it in Chicago and Des Moines and a few other places now and I was just wondering if someone could give me an update on how things are progressing.... can't wait to start enjoying it here!!! Before the end of the year hopefully 🙂

I was told today that the release date for the HTC Touch Pro is now April 17th. Anyone wana bet it's more like May.
This phone should of been released in Feb.

Anyone had issues with the liquid crystal screen cracking on the LG260? I did hear some inklings about it but it seems to be more frequent now that customers are coming in to complain!

So far this year, US Cellular has been pretty quiet.... US Cellular hasn't yet introduced many (or any?? not sure) new phones this year and really none of interest to those who look for for a feature phone (full touch, messaging, razor thin, etc., like have a cool "feature") or a smartphone. Now supposedly US Cellular is getting the HTC Touch Pro in March, according to what people say on this site, and I also saw on here a rumor that the Blackberry Pearl Flip would be introduced sometime in Quarter 2 of this year (i.e. April - June). I know USCC releases most of its new phones in the summer but I'm getting bored having nothing to talk about here..... so amy predictions as to what you expect from USCC or hope for within the coming months.

I was just on the phone with WNP, trying to do a port from Alltel, and was told that I couldn't take the number because it was based in Carbondale IL. the WNP rep told me that we owned the market there but that we didn't have service set up yet. If you all look at your coverage maps, you will see Carbondale is not in our area, and is the center for the piece of Illinois we don't have! This is exciting for USCC here in STL!

I have been a USCC customer for more than 8 years and I've been extremely happy with the service and support.

My last contract expired almost 2 years ago and I've been hesitating on getting a new phone because of the (lack of) choices. I have a Nokia 6235I (which I love) and have not been too thrilled with the phone selection that USCC has to offer. I've read the threads regarding Nokia phones and still wish that USCC would offer Nokia models but I realize there are issues (testing) that need to be resolved before anything like that happens.

I tried out a bunch of phones in the store (Rumor, Hint, etc.) but wasn't too thrilled. I liked the Delve but again they want to force the data plan on me (which I don't want or need r...

My wife is thinking of getting a blackberry instead of a palm phone from another carrier. Problem is that her home business appointments are all on Palm os. Is there a way to translate to outlook or something for the blackberry from palm, so she doesn't have to re-type in all of her appt's for the next 6 months? Help!

At one point we were with T-mobile, not available in our area now.....

We purchased some used phones and were then put on a Zero month contract....Same plan and rates as if we were on a 1 year contract...

Is this how it would work with US Cellular?

When you call a corporate store, are you able to discuss little things on someones account? Say for example there was an issue with a promo code or something like that?

I got a call today and didn't give away any info. I couldn't if I wanted to since I'm an agent, but still... it sounded a little bit odd.

The most annoying thing about working in the mall at U.S Cellular- The mall opens at 10:00 a.m I arrive about 9:40am every morning, my light's are off, i'm just getting everything ready before I open, but no NO ONE relizes that my LIGHTS are off and that it's not even 10:00 a.m... 😳 I'll be on the phone and cust. will sit there and get mad because I havn't helped them yet. WERE CLOSED, but i'm nice and can't tell them that.. but omg it's freaking annoying. 👿 add more stories if you would like.

Mobile World Congress officially began today (and unofficially last night) with some exciting announcements from Sony Ericsson (love 'em but they're CDMA haters 👿 ), Samsung, HTC, LG, Microsoft, and a few other companies. Today was pretty much all about Windows Mobile with the announcement of WinMo 6.5 and the release of countless Windows Mobile phones including the drop-dead-gorgeous HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Touch Pro2. A few Symbian offerings were released as well. I think that so far in the show, the most likely and realistic candidates for future USCC phones include some of the Samsung offerings with Symbian/proprietary OSes and the new offerings from HTC.
