Question about the MyTouch for your T-Mobile guys

I am an AT&T customer (iphone) and I am thinking about switching to T-Mobile because I have poor reception in my current place with AT&T and I am going to add to my parents unlimited plan ($30). One of the things that is important to me is the wifi calling ability that T-Mobile has with some of their phones. I know the Nokia 6301 has this. I am interested in the MyTouch 3G that will be out this week and want to know if it will have this feature. Because my area doesn't have the best of coverage it would be important to be able to make calls over wifi. Please help, many thanks!

0 bars - pay for ETF?

I've been a T-Mobile customer for over 5 years and I just bought a house where I have no coverage (moving in a week). I might get a pop of 1 bar for a split second when standing in the middle of the street but then back to "searching..." My Fiance (family plan) has the same issue. When I went onto the T-Mobile website, it says that my address is in the "best coverage" area. This is obviously untrue because I don't get coverage unless I am a 5 minute drive down the road in either direction.

I would rather not have to terminate service but this is our only mode of phone communication and I do not want to pay for "at-home" wifi service etc.

Would I be able to terminate my service w/out ETFs for 2 lines?

Samsung i7500?

Does anyone know what happened to the Samsung i7500? This phone was announced several months ago as a touchscreen device running Android and with 3G including the AWS band. It's now rolling out on a couple European carriers (I think T-Mo Germany is one of them). Is this phone coming to T-Mo US? Seems a natural, since it's one of a few 3G phones with AWS band.

Using phone (Sony Ericsson TM506) as a modem on a PC?

Ok, so I have a Sony Ericsson TM506.
I have T-Zones/Web2Go Unlimited.
My home computer currently has no internet connection.
I recently downloaded Sony Ericsson PC suite onto my phone and transferred it to my computer by a USB cable, then ran and installed it.

The PC Suite program allows you to connect the computer to the internet via the phone's connection, but it tries to "Validate" my TZones account I guess, and because there's no Username and/or password set up it denies the connection.

Does anybody know the way around this? Like do I need to enter a proxy server address, or some kind of username/password combo?

The reason I ask is there are some thing's I've found the phone can't do with the internet that a computer could....

1000 Minute Promo Expiration?

Anyone know when the current 1000 minute, $39.99 individual plan offer expires? I'm waiting for MyTouch release, but if this promo expires before the release, I will activate a different phone and make the switch later. Thanks.

Better basic phones please?

Anyone know when T-Mobile will introduce some decent quality bar-phones??? The 6010 was the last of the die-hard mohicans. The V195 the last of great clam-shells. I pray they wake up and smell the market soon!! ☹️

Upgrade question

I have 3 lines on my account, and I was going to preorder the mytouch using an upgrade for a line other than mine. I was told that I would have to maintain a data plan on the line that i used to upgrade, even I don't use the phone on that line, in addition to the data plan on on my line with the phone. Is there any way around this? I just want the data plan on the line that will be using the phone. Any help would be great. Thanks.

T-Mobile in Roswell, NM

Hello!

My question is as stated above. i have recently learned that T-Mobile has launched in my area. My area suffers from a lack of great competition, we only have Sprint, Alltel (now going AT&T) and 2 other regional carriers. They do not have a store here, would anyone know if they plan of putting one here? Is the company worth signing up with? I know I really do not want to become AT&T based on what I have heard on here and as well as Howard Forums, and also with people I know that have AT&T. Any and all recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Why does T-Mobile USA refuse to carry LG phones?

I used to work for T-Mobile between Early 2003 and Late 2005 in Customer Service/Tech support, now I am working for them again thru an indirect dealer.

I was wondering, why do they refuse to carry LG phones? AT&T has 'em, so does Verizon, even Sprint...heck, even T-Mobile UK and overseas carries some LG phones!

I just feel like the T is losing opportunities here since LG seems to blow a whole lot of phones out. Anybody else ever pondered this very question?

Android vs. WM

Is there a good thread comparing the functionality of the two? I am trying to decide between the Mytouch and the TP2 (when they are released) and I don't know a lot about Android. Having trouble finding good reference websites also. I know there are a alot of apps available for android, but can't you also find similar apps for WM, just not thru an official app marketplace (yet)?

T-mobile reps or anyone that knows t-mo policies.

My friend had T-mobile just recently upgraded to a G1 around February loves the phone. And i have another friend who has T-mobile and is out of contract. They both have been with T-mobile for 6 years. Both of them didn't know that Tmobile offered that unlimited talk for 49.99 and i told them i heard about it on phonescoop. If I'm not mistaken i was told you have to be a t-mobile customer for 24 months. So the one out of contract calls in and they gave it to him no questions asked and tried to get him to upgrade and get a new phone, which he didn't but he got the plan.. Now the first friend of mine called and they kept beating around the bush and wont give him the plan... what gives??

Android. Lets really talk about the possiblities.

Ok I am new to posting here but have been reading this site since 2002. Which is as long as I have been in wireless. I just really wanted to talk about android in a serious manner and how much I really think it is going to take over wireless.

I have been using an the g1 for about six months now and have been extremely satisfied. HAVE HAD MANY PHONES BEFORE. Including Iphone. Which was a great experience and a great phone. But i have been completely blown away by the possibilities of android. I am currently using a new android model that is not currently for sale but will be soon and it is awesome! Does everything, great internet, apps, gps, email, music player that is expandable, Corp email. This OS really seems to do it all. I actually...
