OK so now I'm looking for a new phone cause my sidekick id died, now seeing as i'm on that special "data plan" with a sidekick if i contacted TMO and told them to cut that and just give me the basic unlimited texting and what ever my family is on will they charge me for a new phone and a new contract or what?


or should i just not even bother with TMO find a new phone snag the sim card out of my ID and roll with that?

I've had my Slide for something like 7 months. It's a great phone, but I'm looking for something a little less expensive on the monthly access charges and something that is more phone, less laptop.

I'm wanting to get the new Nokia, the 5310 - but obviously if I don't have the money to spend on a higher plan for the Slide any longer, I don't really have the extra cash to buy one outright. Trying to get a simpler phone with a simpler plan is a little too difficult - then again, why would a carrier want to allow you to pay them less?

Anyhow, on the point of this post...

Outside of buying at retail price, what are my options on getting a new phone? I could always ebay a new one, I suppose, but what are some other trustworthy places ...

I Just switched from T-Mobile to Sprint (I know I know but I moved and t-mobile does not work there 😢 ). When I did that all of the data on my Sidekick was erased. My contact and calender was all gone!!! I really need all of my info. PLEASE HELP!!!

I heard awhile back that T-Mobile was increasing the myFaves from 5 to 10 numbers for an add-on fee (like a feature). This was months ago.

I don't know if this was true or not, but if it is, it'll be awesome! Anyone else hear about this?

Is anyone running empower email viewer on your blackberry with the email add-on feature only instead of a data plan???

Does anyone have experience using the Iphone with Firmware 2.0 Beta unlocked (specifically being used on TMobile). From what I have read on this site, visual voice mail will not work on TMobile - is that correct? I am mainly interested to know if the new exchange server feature will work on an unlocked phone on TMoblie. I have been waiting for the firmware update so I can get an Iphone (I need the exchange server for my work) but want to use it on Tmobile. Thanks for any feedback.

Whats the word with the sidekick gekko, does any one know when it comes out? Or anything about it.

I am currently living in an area with T-Mobile coverage, zip 66502, but will be moving to an area without coverage, zip 84714. I've called T-Mobile, and they told me I could cancel my service without paying the early termination fee due to the lack of coverage.

The things is, I don't want to cancel. I'd rather stay with T-Mobile. They have been a great company. Sure their coverage is lacking, and I am sometimes envious that other companies have a wider coverage area and faster data, but that's something I know can be fixed, and for me, T-Mobile is worth the wait.

The only way I know of to stay with them is using the Wi-Fi @home service, but that gets me coverage for a grand total of 300 square feet on a good day. Still, I'll possi...

I was having lunch in a deli on the border between L.A. and Beverly Hills.... and I was holding my phone and the 3g logo popped up for about 60 seconds, and then went back to showing the "E".

Any thoughts on this?

Times a wasting T-Mobile. With Sprint releasing the Instinct on the 20th with EVDO Rev.A and you having NO date as when you're 3G will be available to the masses.
Oh I know, rumor has it T-Mobile will be the first to offer a Google Android handset.
One problem rumor has it the other carrier to offer a Google Android handset with be...you guessed it Sprint!
So I'd say T-Mobile better get you're high speed butt in gear. Because great customer service and competitive price plans won't be enough to keep people from jumping ship to the latest & greatest high speed mobile Internet services offered by...well everyone else!
