LG Voyager VX-10000

Some people appear to be having difficulties transferring files to and from the phone using the usb cable. Assuming the usb drivers are installed, connect the phone to the cable and wait for it to be recognized, select settings and tools, then tools, then 9, usb mass storage. After it enters mass storage mode, it will appear shortly as a removable drive in my computer. The folders that verizon wants to let you access on the phone's internal memory (but not on the optional microsd card) will be available for drag and drop. Not all are accessible. With v05 firmware installed, I can get at pictures, music and sounds (but not ringtones).

so i went to the store today bc my phone is acting up and they couldnt even put the software upgrades on it so they are mailing me a new voyager in the next 3 business days....will the phone they are mailing be brand new with stcikers on still and all ahhhh???

I have to admit I LOVE THIS PHONE, but SOMEONE HACK THIS PHONE ALREADY!!!..all the hackers are on the iphone or something..LOL! my uncle has an iphone, and hes just downloading all these kool programs for the phone, while im stuck with v7 on the voyager.. so lame..LOL! someone hook me up with some kool games or like a dictionary or i dont know, a foreign language/english translator or something!!!

I'm heading out today and I hope to pick up a Voyager. I saw it online for delivery, but I can't wait that long (would like to have it for this weekend).

So I was wondering if this phone is available in VZW Stores/Booths yet, if anyone knows..?

I need help! My bill was 40 bucks higher than usual because of data charges....i have used the internet 3 times, and all three times my phone froze so i have already had to have a replacemen. Other than internet and vcast stuff does anyone know what else the phone charges megabyte usage for?
I talked to a verizon rep yesterday that told me just to view pictures in my pics folder it cost me data and almost everything on the phone costs data. does anyone know if this is accurate? I really have no idea why or how I could have racked up so much data...i dont use the internet anymore i had it blocked and i dont use vcast or anything like that. Help!!
If its costing me to look at pictures i have taken then this voyager is going back.

Problem w/the external touch qwerty during mobile web. I go to enter a website and hit the "123" key to enter a number it works fine, then when I try to hit the "abc" key ...it wont register and I'm stuck in the 123" mode and it wont let me go back . I can still use some of the other buttons like clr and end but it wont let me use any letter keys ☹️ Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? I have software version 7 on my phone.

Im wondering what other phone is like my LG VX 8100, with the multicolored lights flashing away when the phone has an incoming call? I see the ringers are not all that loud but actually I rearly hear my 8100 when my tunes are cranked in my truck, i have it up facing me on the dash and see the multicolored lights.....lol. Please help if you know..........Billy C

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing a hissing sound in the background when making calls and if there sound is crappy when talking to someone? I have my volume turned all the way down, but sometimes have to ask people to repeat themselves several times because I can't understand them.
I have the latest SW update, I'm just thinking it might be the phone and maybe get a replacement on it? Thanks in advance from anyone with info. 😁

Does anyone really find that the TV service is really worth the money? I understand that it is only $10 more than the V-Cast Value Pak, but only 8 channels and they don't overly impress me.

Does anyone know what all you can do with the voyager if your laptop is equiped with bluetooth. I paired the voyager with the laptop, but now I am unsure exactly what I can do with it. Looks like the only services it offers it Dial-up networking, remote control, and some serial port option. I am not sure what remote control means. Does anyone know if you can transfer files via bluetooth? If its possible, I would like to move music via bluetooth connection rather than cable connection.

is it possible to disable the animation the phone shows if you push the camera button with the phone closed? if not from the phone, maybe by deleting a file using bitpim?

I'm getting an error from my video files that i have stored on my memory card inside the Voyager...while watching, if i were to pause and skip ahead and then play again -- there is no sound. Anyone else getting that?

ok well first of all i own the vx9800 and im due on an upgrade but i was told i can only upgrade to a chocolate unless i go online. well i just opened an account online with verizon and it says only the account holder can check for upgrades. i was on a plan with 3 other lines but my sister transfered the other 2 lines to her own plan so now its just me but online i have an limited acces to my account how is that relosved. also i want to get either the voyager or the motorola peral debating on prices really but if i could get a good discount with my upgrade i would go for the voyager but its why i need help that and how much is the upgrade discount 25% off or 100 off?

Ok so I installed the V-Cast CD that came with the phone, and I have my voyager set up to ask me how I want to sync up my phone with the USB cable, MUSIC or DATA.

I have no problem getting MUSIC on the V-cast, but whenever I select DATA, nothing happens.

the only reason why I am a little annoyed by this is because I've been trying to email pix to my phone via MSN but it either doesn't come to my phone or it takes DAYS for it to come.

HELP please! lol

p.s.
I installed BOTH the V-Cast manager AND the USB thing on my comp. I just did whatever the stupid CD-Rom told me to do lol

I uploaded a 2 videos onto my sdcard and play it on the phone -- one is in 3gp format, the other in mp4 -- both play and has sound -- but it seems as if the video is about 3 sec ahead of the sound. Any ideas/solution as to what is either going on and/or what i can do to resolve this ?

I used Super and Cucusoft Video converters -- but the same result after converting the file using either one.

I am going to get a Voyager at the end of the month. What service do I need to take advantage of the most features of this phone? Any thoughts on which is most cost effective?

i just ordered the bluetooth receiver for my computer im using it for streaming my audio from my computer to my massive home audio system i was just wondering if its possible to transfer pics. vids. sounds, mp3s calender dates, contacts etc.. whitout too much of a hassel
