What kind of speed do you get when using the storm as a modem.

Ok...Every way I try to sync my storm with either Windows Mail or Outlook it always makes changes...for example it put a picture of my friend that I had as a contact ID for 12 random contacts with no ID....another example is it will list the email or phone number twice for people at random.

I have synched from the device to the pc...the pc to the device....dual sync....made sure that both matched and then synced and then still it made weird changes for no reason...am doing something wrong or??? Thanks everyone

Unlike my BlackBerry Pearl with OS 4.5.0.77, does the Storm with the newer OS update time zones automatically when you travel from one time zone to another?

Can someone tell me how you can set up faxing through bluetooh on the storm? I want to be able to fax through my pc using the storm as a bluetooth dialing device?

On the TV commercials when the user clicks the screen you hear a "clicking" sound. On my Storm I can only silence it or activate a beep sound. Is there an actual "click" sound or is this just for the tv commercial?

If there is a clicking sound....can someone tell me where its at and how to change my settings to it?

Yes, I still like my storm. I want to share the bugs I see as a first time smartphone owner.

-Camera is by far the biggest bug. It needs major help.
-Landscape mode gets stuck often. Very often!
-Always freezes after camera use and especially after video playback. I know that "Closing" Apps help but, it still freezes often too.

These can surely be fixed with a software update. Mine is a week old so it is up to date. But, I hope they send out more.

I'm having lots of problems with taking a picture. The lag time is terrible. I hold the shutter button down and wait for the white rectangle. Then I wait for the green rectangle. Then I push the shutter button and wait and wait and wait and finally hear a click. This delay is ridiculous. The flash is so bright that the subjects complain. When I turn the flash off, the picture is too dark. Any suggestions? Any software upgrades coming out soon to fix all this nonsense? Thanks.....

I have noticed somewhere there was a picture of the Storm with this wallpaper. Not 100% sure on it but believe it looked like a rainstorm at night. Any ideas where I might be able to find it? Looked around a number of places and no luck yet.

Also how do you get the weather on the Storm beside loading up browser? I didn't notice any app for it, and would rather have an app.

Does anyone know a trick enabling BB Storm to stream video from the web sites providing TV video stream ? MY BB Storm won't start the video stream. Thanks a lot! 🙄

I have noticed this the past few times I have charged my phone it stays really warm for maybe an hour or so. I'm not saying it is burning hot but just noticeably warmer is this normal?

Generally, I find the Storm great and easy to use.

A couple of questions:

First: Ringer Control --

Is there any way to adjust ringers so they ring consistently? There seems to be a second or two gap between rings. Could be this is just the way they are but I would prefer a more persistent ring

Second: Earpiece Volume Control --

The volume is fine for the most part and I have it turned up as high as it can go, I think. I would not mind it just a little higher for louder environments. Are there any tricks to getting it louder?

Does anyone know how to remove the "SIM Card Rejected" notice at the top of my screen?

Also, I have opera mini installed but where can I get firefox mobile? Which works best?

Does anyone know why my Opera mini appears under download? Is there a way to set it as my defaul browser?

When I had the earlier versions of software...65 and .75, the application(music) would skip around quite a bit.

I have since loaded .83 and the Youtubes videos sound great! No more skipping.

After charging storm, and the storm is turned off, Does your storm have a steady green led notification lite, on the phone? Well mine flashes off & on, after being charged all night with the phone turned off. Does yours do that? Is this normal, or is there a fault in the phone? Or does it have a meaning?

Does the Storm come with a screen protector? I noticed after I removed a sticker on the front there were a few bubbles (which I was able to get out). So since there's another sticker there is that one suppose to come off or is it ment to be the protector?

I don't want to remove it if it's suppose to be there. But don't want it there if it's ok to remove.

i find it ammusing how people who say they hate the storm constantly post things about how there phone is better or why ours sucks. but all im getting from it is people are scared/jelous that once another update gets released and fixes the few bugs left that there phone will fall behind in all aspects. so they come here and trash it to make it seem that there phone is better and the best part is. is a PHONE. like are these people so lacking of something that gives there life meaning that they depend on what there holding in their hand to define them...?

For every article calling the storm a "flop" or a "dud" there seems to be others that contradict them.
This article just gives an overall picture of RIM and where they are heading. Good read.

yall look at phones and pick at them as if it were supposed to be made by god. the phone is wonderful and does everything it needs and promised to do. all it needs is a small update. you ppl pay way too much attention to what everyone else is saying to realize this phone was ment to be different. who wants to eat chicken everyday for the next 5 years? i sure as hell dont so why wud anyone want the same old blackberry? atleast you have a choice! how about you ppl go to school and build a phone and u let ppl talk $h!t about it!
