Audiovox CDM-9900

Anyone know when you can start accessing yahoo e-mail via Verizon's wireless web? Or is there a way to do it already? I found this web site in a forum - is there a way to install it on the phone? http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/

I know this seems to be a common question but i am trying to download ringtones to my phone. i followed the process outlined in a previous section (thanks) but when i sent it my phone it said unsupported content type audio/mid filename.mid. can anyone tell me what i did wrong? or is it just the phone?

I've tried now to send both a picture & a .mid file to myphonenumber@vzwpix.com from my work email address. A message comes through but when I try to retrieve it I get Network Authentication Failed. I know there have been some problems with the network, but I just want to verify if it's a network problem or something else. I haven't seen anyone else post this particular problem yet.

can someone please tell me if im doing something wrong or if it the system. i cut the mp3 to the correct length. I then upload the newly renamed .mid file and its says upload successful. i then send it to my phone and it says send successful. i did this yesterday, last night and a little while ago but have not received one. Each time though it states send successful. Is it some thing im doing or the verizon network?

Anyone know how to set the 9900 to give an audible alert if you miss a call, and the caller doesnt leave a message??? NOT! I wouldnt wish this phone on my ex-girlfriend.

Has anyone noticed that when the phone is charging, the animation looks like a smoking cigarette??

It even makes me calm down from the 2nd hand smoke.

My brother died from cigarettes and I find that animation personally abusive - and believe me it was not placed there by accident!

Will be activating an account with Verizon at the end of the week. Choice between Audviovox 9900 and LG4500. Anyone know the reliability of these handsets. Reliability and signal strength are most important to me. I live on Long Island but travel throughout the country.

Is there any way to dim the screen a little lower than the low setting? I too am having battery life problems and thought maybe if I could dim the screen another notch it might help. P.S. I love the phone.

Is anyone experiencing the following problem? While talking on the phone the volume tends to fade up and down, and mute sporadically?

I send a text message with the 9900 to another verizon user and it'll sometimes fail immediatly or say successful and then a minute later I'll get a text message saying "the message BLAH you sent failed".

Any ideas? Anyone else experience the same?

or does the "get one free" promotion end and the price stay the same?

😳 i just got off the phoe w/ verizon cs and they said that there is a nation wide problem with the network. i tried sending 2 mid. files to my phone but received errors. anyone else have this problem and does anyone know when trhe network will be up. figures i figure this stuff out and then the system goes offline.

Does anyone know how many midi files can be sent to the phone at a time by uploading and attaching the files and sending them to vzwpic.com? A rep told me that only 25 cents is charged for each message sent regardless of how many files are attached.

I sent a picture from my pc to the 9900 via VZWPIX. It arrived and gave me the option to save it. It is saved in my input folder. When looking at setting up wallpaper it gives you the option of getting the picture from the media gallery.

How do I set up the picture in my input folder as wallpaper, or how do I move the picture to my media gallery.

I was wondering if anyone has details on the next Verizon phone promotion. The latest promotion ends today with both the Audiovox 8910 and the 9900 models which are selling for $49.99 and get a free LG 3200... I am due for a phone and don't want to switch over to a new contract if Verizon is going to extend the promotion for another week. I would rather do that around the end of my billing cycle which ends on the 19 of October.......... Anyone working for Verizon out there? 😎

Has anyone been successful in assigning ringer IDs? I went step-by-step through the directions and got nowhere. After choosing a contact and pressing "edit", then "options", I get a list with "Icon", "Ringer", "Speed Dial" and "Replace", all in gray and UNSELECTABLE!!! The only option available is "delete". Is this feature available???

😢 I emailed my midi file (which is under 25 sec.) to my phone via myphone#@vzpix.com....the midi files begins to play but only about 5 seconds or so actually plays on the phone. The same midi file will play about 25 seconds on my PC.

I don't know what's happening. Any suggestions?

P.S. I trimmed the midi file on the Polyphonic Wizard software and saved it as a .mid file.

Does anyone know if you can erase all calls in history ? I have only found how to do one at a time?? any help would be nice

Just called Verizon. Asked them about the long delays when sending Pix messages. She did confirm that there were network issues on Saturday and that the network was down. She also told me that the problem has been resolved and the system is working normally again. However there is a backlog queue of around 77,000 Pix Messages still sitting on the server that are being sent to their destinations! Once those are all sent off, then things should be back to normal. Those will be going out first and all subsequent messages, including those that you form right now, will be sent after that. So there will still be delays until this is over, but the said everything should be copacetic by tomorrow morning!

I just upgraded to the Audiovox 9900. The Verizon rep got me the Every 2 Year price even though I had a 1 year contract (for over 2 years), and it was on her own initiative. Thank you, Verizon!

I asked her to transfer phone book from my Samsung T300 to the 9900. She tried twice and wasn't successful. Does anyone have suggestions on how to transfer it? Or on how to just to save it?
