Should I retire my LG-VX4400???

Ok I have an LG-VX440 that I have an for about a year and a half and LOVE. I have the extended battery and between that and normal battery always have plenty of juice. Reception is great on it and so is the earpiece volume so I am very very hesitant to buy another phone b/c this one by far is the best I have ever had. What do you all recommend? I love the features this phone has, although I will admit I wish it was a bit small, my LG is a lil big at times. Plz give me some feedback on your honest opinions in waiting, comparisions etc...so i dont miss the deal they have...THANK YOU! 🙂

Text messaging only 48 character limit?

I noticed when typing a text message it only allows a 48 character limit per message. IS this a problem with the phone or the way it was designed or just that Verizon wants to make a few extra pennies so one has to type more than one message? I know it used to be 110 character limit. What has happened??

PC Connection Software Kit

I'm looking for a kit with USB cable and software that will allow me to create and edit my phone list for my CDM9900 on a PC and download it into my phone. Does the mobile kit offered by Verizon do this? Their web site does not say. Are there other programs that will work for this phone?

Audiovox Support

I'd like to know how and who anyone spoke to at Audiovox support. I spoke with their tech support in Long Island and it was virtually non-existent. They knew nothing and didn't even know the phone was released by VZ.

Use as modem for laptop internet access.

I was talking to a verizon rep who said if I bought the office kit with this phone that I could access the internet via my laptop using the built in modem in the phone. He said if I used the setup after 9:00pm it would not count against my minutes and would be free to do.

I can't find anything on the verizon website that backs up his claim. I assume he was spreading cow manure. Am I correct that this can't be done?

HOW TO TURN OFF Startup/Shutdown sound

Just lower the volume to 'no sound' with the LH side vol buttons. You'll be able to turn on/off the phone with no sound, no vibrate, nothing.

Slow Web Browser?? Here's what ya do!!

😎
One of the (very few) complaints I read about in the reviews for this phone is of the slow Wap 2.0 Web browsing, as cool as it is. I noticed it myself, and I'm sure a lot of you have as well. Well there's an easy, yet important and necessary step to take in order to speed things up a bit. My apologies if this has been discussed before.
Here's what you do:

If you haven't done so already, and if you're upgrading from an older Wap 1.0 phone, simply call up Verizon Wireless (*611). Tell them to look over your account package and have them UPGRADE your Mobile Web package to MOBILE WEB WAP 2.0. This is something that MUST be done!! It costs the same as the original 1.0 package too! But apparently this step is something that is often overl...

Voice cutting out when speaking on the phone?

I just noticed that when I am talking on the phone while the other person is speaking and if I start to speak, the other person's voice cuts out for a second and comes back on. The mic seems to be very sensitive. Anyone else have this problem? I never had this problem on any other phone I owned.

Speakerphone Rig ....

🤣 Ok, one of the gripes with this phone is that you can't use the speakerphone while the phone is closed, well we can remedy that one easily. You can fix this one two ways (I don't recommend the first, but some of you may try it).

Either way, you will have to adjust your backlight shut off settings to preserve battery life. Sorry this is so long, but here goes.....

1. Open your phone and look at the bottom left of the LCD. Notice there is a little nub just below the check mark on your "Verizon" logo. This nub hits the switch that tells the phone to go into a "standby" kind of state when you close the phone. This also ends calls. If you file off a portion of this nub, your phone will always stay "on" (kinda). This will allow...
