I just went to check this phone out and planned on getting one, but then I checked out the speakerphone. It doesn’t work until the call is initiateed. Well that’s half the reason I want the speakerphone option so you don’t have to put the phone to your ear until the call is Initiateed.

when i look back in my recent calls i noticed there is no call timer i dont want to be picky but for some reason that feature means alot to me does anyone know if this phone has that "feature"

I purchased two Audiovox 9900's today. So far so good. I also purchased an Audiovox CLC-9900 Vehicle Charger (Verizon #9900VPCAUD).

The charger doesn't work in my 2004 Honda Accord. It doesn't go deeply enough into either the cigarette lighter recepticle or the spare power outlet located in the console. There is therefore no electrical contact.

It tested fine on the bench back at the Verizon store. I brought it home and tried it in my other vehicle a Subaru Legacy. It worked like a charm.

It's a poorly designed Vehicle Charger that will not fit a vehicle as popular as the Accord. Anyone contemplating purchasing this charger should check to see if it works in YOUR vehicle before completing the purchase.

I was waiting for this phone with high hopes but after getting to play with it today I am very disappointed. The screen looks good but not good enough to make up for the low quality construction. Feels like a cheap plastic toy. The speakerphone and tri band would be nice but since I would seldom use them it would not make up for the every day feeling of the phone being cheaply made. Plus, the way the icons are on the keypad seem like they would quickly wear off with even the most limited use.

does it have an alarm clock? not a stupid reminder thing in the calendar section, a regular alarm clock that can be used when i'm away from home?

does it ring loud? i miss so many calls w/ my motorola b/c it does not ring loud.

can it vibrate/ring at the same time or just vibrate for a few seconds then begin to ring?

how is the speakerphone working for everybody? any problems?

i'm guessing it does, but does it have an external clock/date?

im in great need of a program to convert .mp3 to .mid so i can have my nice .mp3 ringtones...also does anyone know how to change the text message noise?

I have a A670 and think it is ok, but do not like how you cannot get the outside LCD to light up with any outside keys. I do like the size of it compared to the 9900 however. What are your guys opinions? I am within my 15 days.

#1) How do you adjust alert tone volume? Ringer is loud enough, but the alert tone for text messages is barely audible.

#2) Can you change the banner? This somehow effects the subscreen. When a call comes in the callerid information is displayed on the sub screen, but alternates between CID info and "Verizon Wireless." Yes, I know i have a VW phone, don't interupt my CID information to remind me!

This just does not seem as customizable as other similar phones.

Other than that, I am happy with the phone. I actually bought one for myself and my wife.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I must to alert you all! This phone might have the nice camera, nice screen and video recording, but what good is it if you cant send your video recordings? It really disappointed me when it was brought to my attention that this phone does not have video messaging. Can you believe that????? THAT REALLY STINKS!!!!!!!! what is the point if you cant share it????? So, now I know why its so cheap. Sorry guys, but all this is true. Hope this helps!

When I miss a call, the external LCD only displays that I've missed x number of calls. Yet, upon receiving an incoming call, it will display the number. Is there a way for the external LCD to show the phone number of the missed call(s)?

I got this phone two days ago...Probably returning it before my 15 days are up.

Yes it has a very nice screen and good picture quality...but its so different from my 7000.

The keypad is rubber...and the whole phone is just made cheap. It was so much easier to put mp3 ringtones onto my 7k than to this phone. There is not much memory to even hold one 235kb mp3 file like the 7k did.

The pictures are irregular..i uploaded a couple to the VZW website and the resolution is different from all the other picture phones.

No ring and vibrate..also the speaker is on the back of the phone so you can't hear the ring as well if its laying flat.

Many other inconviences with this phone..i'm pretty disappointed.

Does anyone know what is the next Audiovox phone to come out for Verizon. I've been looking online and can't seem to find one. The verizon guy told me I should wait for the Moto V810. I know that phone is going to be a lot more than $49.99. What should I do? 🙄

hey guys, i was just wondering why the 710 and 7000 are around 200 and this NEW phone which have almost the same functions is only 50 bux???? Why would it be sooo cheap for such a "good phone"? Im assuming that the only reason why its so cheap is because its probably a piece of junk. Who knows? can anyone explain?

When I receive a phone call it shows up on my caller id, although if I miss the call it says..."no number". Anyone know why and what I can do to fix it?

I've never tried the web/games on one of these newer phones...how's it on this phone? I wish verizon gave some trial period to test it out...
