LG VX-8000

whats ur opinion for a better phone.Vx-8000 or the CDM-8940

Sorry if this question is redundant - i looked and couldn't find it anywhere.

I noticed that there are small slits in the front, and got to wondering - can the speakerphone be used while the phone is closed?

Alright flat out..... WHICH PHONE IS BETTER???..... i compared the two on this website and they are matched up about equal in capibilities...


HERES WHAT THE LG HAS THAT THE AUDIOVOX LACKS
Lg Vx-8000 has a MP3 player, which i heard eats your battery up, but if u could download songs on your phone and listen to them....I'M DEFINATELY GOING FOR THE LG hands down!!!!!!!!!!
Lg also has STREAMING MULTIMEDIA....what ever that is???

By looking at the features of the VX 8000 seems like a pretty nice phone, but IS IT WORTH THE WAIT????? I mean if my baby...(the Audiovox CDM-9900), which TAKES THE BEST PICTURES, HAS THE BIGGEST AND BRIGHTEST SCREEN, AND TAKES THE BEST VIDEOS.... is still in stock i'm going for that, NOT UNLESS YOU GUYS COULD GIVE ME A GOOD REASON TO WAIT FOR THE LG VX-8000!!!!

before i get hammered for being a noob, i would like to say that i have been around for a while just never posted... i tried to search for this and all i have seen on one website that VERSACE had posted saying that blue tooth was going to be available on this phone. Out of the testers or anyone else that would know can anyone confirm or squash this for me please. thank you

This is mainly going out to the lucky few who have acquired the 8000, I just had a few questions about the phone before I decide whether to commit or not. My first question is, does this phone have vibrate and ring? I know it has ring, it I know it has vibrate, but does it have both at the same time? I love my 7000 that I have now but it drives me nuts that it does not have vibrate and ring. My next question is, can you still record your own ringers on the 8000 like you can with the 7000? I love this feature, and I love not having to pay for ringtones even more. I think that is about it, if someone could give me some feedback on this I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Hey guys, where did you buy USB cable for VX8000?RadioShack?If somebody has it, please give me RS stock number or at least tell me if RS has or any otherplace that will have it. I am hoping to use QPST program with the cable. Please HELP!

I have a couple questions about the phone:

The specs for the phone say it has an mp3 player. How much space does it have for mp3s. How do you get mp3s into the phone. Can an mp3 be used as a ring-tone?

I see the phone has "stereo sound". What is the purpose of this? Does it have two speakers? Is there some valuable application of stereo sound on a cell phone that is compelling that I am not considering or is this as useless as it seems?

Ive been waiting for the 8000 for over 4 months now,wanted it by Christmas but dont look good. Lg and vzw can kiss my --- i am going to switch carriers and get another phone that has a megapixel cam, the wait has been to long. Oh well enough of this i am going to the bar and get drunk and then come home and puke. Every one have a nice holiday. 🙂

what the heck is blue tooth? everybody has been saying oohh this phone isn't good because it doesnt have blue tooth ...etc... i'd really like to know what it is! 😕

I know that another recent model (4100 I think) has the driving mode with the automated voice informing you of an incoming call. Is this feature on the 8000 model? I believe someone asked this question but I do not remember there being a response. Thanks in advance for any input.

hey yall, i was looking at the info about the phone and it said it wouldnt have ringer id. is that true because i know the 6000 and 7000 had ringer ids. why would they take that feature out?

I was wondering if my plan works.
Here it is....
I know people who live in San Diego. Let's say they won the free phone. Would I be able to use their phone in San Francisco and combining my plan or wat ever the promotion goes?
